This mold test was very easy to use. The included instructions were clear - there was no question about how to perform the test. The lab testing was very expensive so we did not opt to go beyond our home test. They have a great website that can help you identify what mold species you might have. Would recommend this test to anyone who just wants to see what level of mold is in their house. Highly recommend doing the outdoor testing as outlined in the instructions.

I got the Evviva Sciences Mold Test Kit for my apartments, hoping it would give me peace of mind about potential mold issues. Do they work? Honestly, I have no idea—I’ve never had mold grow on them. Maybe that means my places are pristine, or maybe I’m just incompetent and don’t know how to use them properly. Who’s to say?What I do like is the option to send the tests in for lab analysis if you want a more definitive answer. It’s a nice feature for those who want to be extra sure. So, either these kits are doing their job and my apartments are mold-free, or I’m just really bad at mold detection. Either way, I appreciate the simplicity and flexibility of this kit. Mold or no mold, at least I’m trying!

I bought this for my son who is living in an apartment in Brooklyn, NY. This kit detected a toxic form of mold in their bathroom. The landlord refused to clean it up. So, they had to use bleach to kill it.

I’m allergic to planet Earth so I wanted to test my home. I already keep the house humidity at 40%, use a MERV 13 whole house filter on the HVAC & an air purifier in the master bedroom.Followed the enclosed instructions which were laid out precisely for you. I put one plate outside and you can see the number of molds outside. Inside only the Living room, maybe 25 feet from the entrance showed any mold. That could just be because I used to door to place the outside plate on the front porch.Satisfied the house is essentially mold free. Thanks for an excellent product!

I followed all the instructions and got mold growing in all the containers, but when it came time to identify the mold by going to their website - there was NOTHING conclusive and their photos were so difficult to tell what kind of mold could be growing. Would have to send off the spores to a lab and pay for additional testing but then would also need to call someone locally to test in the actual space…

Discovered black mold in my rental home of 5 years after using these! Within weeks of moving out my health improved immensely. Would have never know without this product.

If you are wondering about mold in your home this kit is a good place to start. They were super quick to return the results via email but provided no support afterwards. There was no information provided on how to interpret the results, no attachment or link to help the average homeowner understand. I did email them for assistance asking if they had any guidelines as to how to interpret the report and got no response. So yes, the test gives you data but from there it's all on you. Disappointed.

I was concerned about mold in my home so I purchased these tests AND paid hundreds to send them to their “lab” for analysis. I followed directions to the letter! Shipped them and waited. Every single sample I sent was “inconclusive”! How could that possibly be? When I called the “lab” for further information they would only repeat the “inconclusive” and it’s due to “contamination” on every single test, even though I followed every direction given. It makes more sense to assume there is no lab and it’s a total scam that they can blame no results on you. Refused to retest or replace the Petri dishes for a second try. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
