Don't judge a book by its' cover
"Don't judge a book by its' cover" is a familiar saying, but I did just that with this book ! It has the whole alphabet laid out on the front cover, which is what I was after. I've always wanted to decipher the Cyrillic alphabet (I've managed to get a good handle on Greek),and in that respect, this book does not disappoint. The exercises are clear, and give you plenty of room to practice writing the letters. All good, except that some of the suggestions for the direction of your pen or pencil seem somewhat long-winded,and don't lend themselves to quick,or "hand"writing. Maybe it's because I'm left-handed ?!A couple of other observations on point of pronunciation - for the letter "Г",the book says to pronounce it as "o" in "good",but surely they meant to say the "h" as in "hood" ? The other one is for "І". The transliteration says "k",surely a mistake, and the pronunciation is "s" as in "see" ?! Did they mean the "ee" in "see" ? I think so,probably.....All said, definitely a book worth having if you're serious about learning Ukrainian !

Only print not cursive
I got this because I've been learning Ukrainian via Duolingo which shows the printed words, but the Ukrainians I have met all write in cursive which looks completely different. It is great for print, but the 'handwritten' is exactly the same as print so not what I needed.
