Good value, good results.
Magic is wonderful. Watch The Hobbit or Harry Potter. Chemistry is magic too, within the realms of, well, of chemistry! This liquid is amazing, within the realms of, you guessed it, chemistry! This process is really fascinating! It really does layer on Silver. The Silver really does stay. It is metal. Now, back to Middle Earth. It has as much micro-Silver as you might expect from a liquid. It does not 'plate' silver in the thickness to ward off dragons. It does cover old and bare metal, for me taking a few applications. Rub it in. Work it out (the leftover de-Silvered matter) and marvel at the black left-overs of the chemical process. Rinse and then with a nice bamboo soft cloth lightly buff. Shine! Wear sunglasses! So, my plated silverware is definitely renewed. It is metal. It's great! And a little bit goes on nicely. Comes off nicely. I can easily recommend this. If you want total 're-plating', well, either find a company that does this or a Wizard! It will set you back a lot of lizards to do that thought. For the cost, this is a great value and product. Thanks! Joseph-the-wise 😃😃🚂

Disappointing
The product relies on serious hand pressure to begin bonding with the target object. I had wanted to patch the worn plating on an antique, but it leaves patchy and streaky results. No replacement for electroplating.

Saves silver!!!!
Unbelievably amazing product. I watched my mother and grandmother polish their silver over the years, and the plated pieces got darker and darker as the harsh tarnish removers stripped the silver plate. This product restores pieces to a nearly brand new appearance. Price seems a little high until you realize you are literally restoring your silver, for which a professional would charge a heck of a lot more! With one bottle I’ve managed to clean a dozen or so large pieces, including platters, and will definitely order again.

Works on some metals better than others
I’ve used this on a silver plate covered dish which appeared to be a brass colored metal. The solution covered well in the ornate areas but not so well on the smooth surface. I found it bonds fantastic on copper. It polishes silver like a dream. I even used it on some metal plated buttons that looked gold-ish and a bit tarnished - now shinny silver. An old silver plate novelty spoon from the 40s that showed the base metal coming through now looks like new again. I have found the more porous the metal is, the better the transfer of silver. When the solution turns black you’ll see your best results and more than one application of the solution is usually required. If you use this on something intended for food, just polish the item well with a soft dry cloth after application, then wash the item well before use. An old piece of costume jewelry came out great - covered all the worn areas where the silver finish had worn off. I’d say 90% of what I’ve tried it on worked well.

NUSHINE REALLY WORKS
I have icons with silver plated copper covers that had been badly worn after 30 years of well-meaning abuse: having polished and rubbed the silver off of the copper. I had tried other products similar to this one but they did not work; I was exploring options to send the icons out to be electroplated but thought I would try Nushine before committing to that option. These works after Nushine look better than when I bought them. The solution goes on easily and does its job—and a little goes a long way! The piece in the photo with the multiple figures is 16” x 20”— I barely used half of a bottle to make it look new. The solution did not harm the painted surface when it made contact. Follow the instructions and be sure to wear gloves. I am writing this review 3 weeks after purchase and use; the objects are still gleamingly silver. I am thrilled with this product! I wish they had one for gold!

Solution worked on some parts, but not others.
I think there may be some applications for this product, but I attempted to use it on several pieces of silverplate that had been worn through to the base metal. It did not cover fully; perhaps about 60%. This was despite my spending copious time in prepping the pieces and using the product fully as directed and attempting multiple applications. I simply purchased a very inexpensive silver plating electronic unit and a bottle of solution. This works extremely well and fairly quickly. I used it for several applications and I got a plating better than the original silverplate. I wish this stuff worked, and it might to cover small situations or work better is some applications. The vendor did provide me a full return.

A perfect touch-up for show through in small areas on silver plate
Some very fine antique silver plate was decorated with hand chasing or engraving done after the piece was originally plated. This is a very important possibility when dealing with Old Sheffield Plate and early Victorian plate — more or less 1850 to 1875 when expectations everywhere were for highest quality in silver if any sort. After many years of polishing, the edges of added decoration on the best objects will become worn enough for the base metal to begin peeking through. Such pieces are often still serviceable, as is, but the difference in color can be a distraction. One can certainly have most old pieces completely re-plated, but only at often prohibitive cost. The solution is not provided with enough chemical silver to work very well on broad areas showing silver loss.Fortunately, it is on those small high spots — on borders, for example — that are the first points wear. This solution is frequently strong enough to conceal that sort of problem. Used regularly, there is no need for any other polish.Note: This solution does not appear to work on objects other than those made of a hard base metal such as copper, brass, or nickel silver. In this light, it must be said that most products that are “Quadruple Plate” are unlikely candidates on which to obtain effective results from this product.
