Q: Can you use this machine vertically? For instance, I would like to sublimate something onto a wall (yes, wall is treated for subbing)

It’ll work fine, but it can be a little heavy. So definitely lift it while cold for varying times before you attempt, for safety’s sake.

Q: Do you have to press down continuously throughout the transfer process?

yes, you want to provide continuous pressure. The press displays the "Lbs" of pressure so you can see how much applying. A project may suggest firm pressure (which you can look up how many lbs that would be) for the specific vinyl.

Q: What is the heat setting for siser htv? i set it to 335, and it didn't take. i had to press several times. i shouldn't have to do that.

I also have mine at 380 and mine has heated for over 5 minutes without it sticking. Does that mean mine is not working correctly?

I’ve never worked with patches or sequins. It’s just a big iron, essentially. Just hotter temps. And you apply your pressure. It tells you how hard your pressing and using your body strength lol
