This is a wonderful product! It removed all the sticky gunk from my iron. I was amazed at how well it worked! Very happy!

after cleaning, the iron remained in exactly the same condition. the seller is selling a completely ineffective product. I don't understand how Amazon even allows such sellers. I regret that I spent money on empty promises. By the way, I removed the buildup from the surface of the iron with sandpaper.

I have had a Rowena iron for many years - bought it on Overstock when they were pretty new I think. The iron had a flaw in that I had to hold the steam lever while I ironed. Sounds awful but it was easy for me and that iron is the best I ever had for steam ironing.The iron started sputtering, and I was thinking OK it's (15 years?) old and I have to expect it, but had had some trouble in the past thinking I had ruined it when I did an iron on thing incorrectly. I looked on Amazon and found the clean up sticks. Followed easy instructions, let it dry and wiped it off. The iron is back to normal. Worth writing a review about.

But it’s very messy and I can’t seem to avoid melting the plastic case along with the product. It cleaned my iron soleplate of burned fusible products but it smells strong and isn’t really practical for my busy sewing room. Probably better for use on irons that are just used to press apparel instead of the heavy use while sewing.

I had ironed an appliqué with the fusible upside down and thought my iron was ruined but this product fixed it.Other reviews said it was messy but it’s not if you follow the instructions which said to apply when the iron is still warm. To me this meant to heat the iron up then turn it off and wait until it is still warm but not hot. I would definitely buy this again.
