Fenix BC26R 21700 Powered Rechargeable Bike Light with High Capacity 5000mAh Battery,Black

I’ve got a few torches now of varying sizes and price tags. This one hands down beats them all! I have an exposure six pack which I use for mountain biking. This little torch has almost if not slightly better beam pattern, light coverage and range. The exposure has a whiter light by comparison, but the colour of light this shines out seems to make things much more visible. Especially in the backdrop/long distance. The flash mode is excellent for day time riding and you can literally see the flash over a mile away in day light. (Over cast). It lets you know the status of the battery by varying colour led. Build quality is fantastic, aluminium body. Battery can be replaced and easy to swap, so you can carry spares for longer run times.The bracket is superb and lets you rotate the torch in the mount. It’s gives solid clicks whilst rotating and hasn’t budged whilst descending some rocky descents. You can also get a GoPro mount for the torch which will allow you to fix to a bike helmet. This torch is that impressive I’ve just bought another two, one for my wife and one for my lid.Truly top notch, excellent torch.

I've been looking for a decent front light which wasn't too expensive and also allowed a replacement battery. Almost all bike lights I've seen even expensive ones don't allow battery replacement but this one does. Very pleased.Update: 25 August 2023I wanted to update this review as the light has consistently performed poorly since I bought it. It frequently switches off whilst riding (despite seemingly having a full charge), it will also not charge properly - it shows a green led when charging despite the fact that the battery is flat.

Sick of unremovable batteries, rubbishy plastic bodies, manufacturers who don't give a pluck?This light has an incredible 5-year warranty on the light (one year on the removable battery). The company Fenix is unlikely to go bust, so the only real danger is if you lose the thing, which would be horrid.It is all metal. It feels like high quality manufacturing. "waterproof to a depth of 2 metres for half an hour" (Fenix website).A couple of suspicious-looking reviews here and on another Amazon review site complain about the battery endurance. I did a test. I charged it up completely. I switched to 600 lm (second highest setting). It is meant to last for 9.5 hours at this level. Start 10:00 - charge light constant green; 12:00 - flashing green; 15:00 - constant red; 18:00 - flashing red. At 19:30 I stopped the test. The final state is flashing red.£100 a lot of money? Yes. Given that the light has a 5-year warranty, this amounts to £20 a year, or less if it lasts longer. The battery is a 21700, 5000 mAh Li-ion. At their cheapest these can be had for £9 in 2022, probably cheaper in future years. I rest my case.PS if you need lots and lots and lots of light you can always charge up, using the light, and carry spare batteries you have bought.PPS 1600 lm is unbelievably bright. Watch out for your eyes.

I like it, it also makes a comfortable hand torch

I just missed the return window as this was a gift. Used for a few days now and getting nowhere near the promised light life from each charge
