Does what it says on the tin.
Not entirely sure I can relate with some of the reviews im seeing of this unit. It works, the air is actually colder than 17 degrees when i tested it using a thermometer. Is it noisy? Sure. Its an AC unit. What do you expect? Smart app works great, Alexa recognises it easily. Bedroom gets fantastically cool, best test yet was 28 outside at night, 17 inside. If my 10 week old can sleep through the noise, im sure you can too! Would absolutely buy it again. Just recommend buying a separate window kit so that you maximise the cooling effect not having warm air drift in through an open window.

portable A/C
We have just came back from a 3 week tour of France and boy am i glad i purchased this for in our motorhome,The Good : It kept us all so cool all night it was great, last year we did spain in the same temperatures but without any A/C and it was unbearable, you could not sleep because of the heat, this item is really easy to use and it does a great job of cooling our van down in less than 10 minutes, variable temp settings/speeds and modes, I fitted a piece of perspex and velcroed it to a window frame and cut out a hole for the "6 pipe to vent outside - obviously with the window opened and it worked a treat. The Bad: It goes through motions were its pretty quiet for a while and then it starts making a kind of vibrating noise - but apparently this is normal as its the coolant that's being pumped around inside that does this and then it stops and goes quite again - it did not keep us awake and you can hear it even when its quite you can hear it faintly. Conclusion: Would i recommend it - Yes Would i buy it again - Yes - There is nothing worse than laying in bed all night sweating and being restless !

Cold Air
Blast nice icy air, a little loud but I can live with that, wife wasn’t to happy with it but slept ok. Loads of features good remote glows in the dark, mobile app excellent can control AC better and lower fan speed. Down side can be expensive to run. I was lucky had a chimney breast to install flexible piping to remove hot air, wouldn’t fancy using a window kit just looks awe full a poor attempt at DIY and leaves you window insecure if on a ground floor. Worth it’s money

Noisy but works well
Had this about a week now and I can say I’m glad I brought it with the red wether warnings for heat coming in parts of the ukBad pointsit’s a little noisyThe outlet tube is quite wide and not very longThe outlet tube for the water is far to short if you want it in constantly otherwise keep the outlets plugged and empty when fullCan only direct the air up and down not side to side it has one strip you can move side to side and it has no affect on the air flowThe remote it comes with looks old and outdated also doesn’t work half the time and you can’t turn the remote off so I would assume the battery wouldn’t last long as it has a screen displayGood pointsEasy to use with the app on your phoneAlso have it connected to Alexa with limited functionality can switch on/off and select temperature it works 75% of the time but I assume that’s Alexa having selective hearing as usuallast and probably the most important thing is that it’s lovely and cool in my front room since having it it works very wellI would have probably brought a more high tech one if I new how it was going to work before I brought it as some things I thought I would be able to do with it I can’t do but that’s probably my own fault for assumingI’m happy with it and would recommend buying it to others

Does the job
I have had a wooden garden room built which being fully insulated gets really hot when the sun shines on it,tried fans ,makes no difference, can't afford a split system (£1k+) installed so settled for a portable one instead.I only need about 5000btu for my room size but went for an 8000 so that it doesn't have to work as hard and is on less.Only had it a day so far and just with the hose out the window ( I will wall vent it soon)it has reduced the temperature nicely, it was about 29degrees earlier inside (25outside)now it's a very comfortable 19.6 and my daughter is under a blanket !Noise wise is ok ,can't say I would be able to sleep with it on but that's not what I want it for.Comes with remote, also connects to an app and alexa really easily, if I can do it any one can !

NOISY but works great
The product does what it says for the most part. The hose is a little short so may need an extension depending. App functionality is fineThe one thing I don't like is the noise. The fan is loud and so is the compressor. Not great for sleeping or small rooms. But if you won't be looking to sleep with it on its great. My current use case is on during the day cool the room before night then windows open. It makes a huge difference to cooling a room and a normal fan after really helps keep you cool

Best purchase I've ever made.
Honestly, this unit has changed my life.I'm extremely sensitive to heat, and our bedroom (particularly in the morning, as it's eastern facing) is excruciatingly hot at night, even with the window open.We live near marshland so the air is also incredibly humid.I spent 8 years getting around 3 hours sleep a night in summer before finally taking the plunge and buying this air conditioning unit.No joke, I now sleep right through the night, 7-9 hours uninterrupted. The sleep curve is an amazing facility, which stops me now oversleeping! The app is brilliant. It can be controlled from anywhere (I activated it from 10 miles away to scare my partner 🤣)One recommendation I would make is adding an external water outlet tank (we used an old cool box) as it takes a lot of the strain off the unit and is also much easier to empty. You'll be amazed (and also disgusted) at how much water can be pulled out of the air! Especially here in the UK. We filled a 30 litre cool box in ONE NIGHT.

Not very powerful
A little disappointing, not very powerful at all, only suitable for a very small room
