Fantastic hydroponic kit for beginners
Amazing hydroponic setup! Initially I planned on doing a diy build of a hydroponic garden, but this entire kit was almost cheaper than the individual parts and all of the guesswork was taken out of the set up. The instructions were actually very clear and easy to follow. It went together in an afternoon and is working great with no leaks. Time will tell how the plants actually grow, but the kit itself is great!

Well made quality product.
The item was well made and was delivered in a timely manner. Unfortunately it wasn't a good fit for the use we needed. It was more than we needed. Good value, hated to return it but it just wasn't right for the application we needed.

The media could not be loaded. I mean... for what it is... it does what it says...Immediate problem- pump isn't variable speed and if you finish one crop... and want to reduce a bucket.... or maybe just grow one at a time... .... ... short answer.. you can't ... .......it is kinda bs~ I'm looking to buy the one bucket pump... but of course they don't sell it without the bucket and everything (instructions instruct not to block an air outlet. and it wont pump any water in one bucket without all four pumping in 5 gals)..Anyway, I got a voltage regulator... plugged all the air outlets I wasn't using... and have it running very smooth and quite... I'm hoping it won't burn up the motor... moving the larger parts with less power... but it may be alright.... I may just have to open it up and clean the contacts if it does...I'll be done with my first grow in about 3 months... I'll let you know if it makes it through then. GLThey could have the pump be variable speed.... but I bumped it up to four anyway... the only reason I havn't gone 5 star is the price... I mean... if you wanted you could put the system together for 50 bucks between walmart and a hardware/ gardening store. I guess I kinda like the idea of having a voltage regulator....will be handy... I'ma give it to em like I said anyway... 4 star...one more issue that came up is that the air inlet tubes dont go through the cap... they go through the bucket... hence... when changing water you have to remove the tubes from the air pump... extremely distasteful... pump is running smooth with the voltage regulator two weeks intubing certainly is rather hard to get through... but the "leaking" i'm hearing about is probably from putting the thing in backwards... it's counter intuitive... (*trust me I did it) but you probably put it in backwards... put the sealing rings in as per instruction images... and use some water or maybe a bit of oil to push the tubes through

Good starter set for DWC
Good set up but the pump is a little noisy. Ran 2 cycles now without a single problem.

Good, but can be improved.
The product is of decent construction, however I have a few gripes. One of biggest gripes with it are the high level of noise coming from the top drip constantly making gargling sounds which I can hear throughout my house. The air stones are not the best, one of mine didn’t work at all. I confirmed air was coming through the hose and replaced it with one of vivosun’s stones that I bought separately and found that air still isn’t coming through. It seems the pump simply isn’t putting out enough pressure to push air through the air stones since the same pump is pushing air through the top water drips which is a path of least resistance for all of the air. They should have designed the pump to separate the air for the top drips and the air stonesLastly the clay stones that come with it make a ton of dust/mud when wet. Even after rinsing them all off out of the bags they came in, they break each other down too easily IMO. I get that they should be semi porous to hold water, but still. That all being said, my recommendation would be to use a water pump instead of an air pump and centralize the water pump like the air pump between the buckets to pump the water constantly between the buckets and the top of the lids. I haven’t found one yet that works outside of a body of water that is fed with just tubes like the air pump is but that would do the trick so you don’t need an aquarium pump in each bucket.

DWC.
Nice setup, and very easy to use.Grew nice tomatoes and bell peppers over the winter.P.S. just a side note. When dumping out the water cover the sight tube opening so you don't lose the ball float .I pushed a needle through the top of the tube so I didn't lose the other. The ball is really not needed just makes it a little easier to see water level.Anyways , For beginners wanting to try dwc this is a great starter . Just make sure to read up on ph , feeding ect with hydro before trying its a lot different than soil.
