This kit does not come with any instructions. There is a QR code in the package and if you scan it it will take you to a YouTube repair video that is not affiliated with the product you purchase. The video is of a tech repair specialist who has much higher quality tools than the ones included in this kit. The video is not very easy to follow and the man zips through many of the instructions with little attention to some details. it is not easy to follow. This kit contains flimsy plastic tools that bend and break. The tools used in the video are metal. You will also need to heat up the screen of your device in order to break down the glue adhesive before removing your old broken screen and replacing it. The kit does not contain enough glue strips as used in the video. It does contain a small bottle of liquid glue, which has very strong fumes.This is the third or fourth time I have replaced a phone screen and this particular phone is a challenging repair. I don’t recommend trying it, and I don’t recommend this kit. I’ll now have to either replace my phone or take it to someone who can repair it, as now the screen is malfunctioning.The screen also chipped as I was installing it into the frame, it is very, very fragile.Another reviewer suggested installing the screen protector as the first step. If you choose to try this repair, that is probably very good advice, but I strongly suggest you save yourself the stress and hassle. Take it to a repair specialist. It’s worth shelling out the money to do so.

The kit is complete, BUT I did wish that there was a better tool to separate the back cover and screen from the glue. I used a hair drier to melt the glue, but had a hard time using the plastic tool. Which it was metal. Other than that the other tools were helpful and the screen works!

Very dim and flickers. Not an installation issue. I can swap the old cracked up display back and forth with this unit, and the old display is bright and stable. Verified I have a DE2118 in settings screen. The LEDs in this assembly need more voltage and barely turn on at max brightness, and the flicker is them dropping out during the boost regulator ramping. This assembly clearly has the wrong parts, or was intended for a different device. Based on the other favorable feedback, either this product is hit or miss, or there were different versions of the phone and mine doesn't like this.

Excellent shipping materials! Rare to see it come in a wooden box. Screen quality is there but extremely fragile. Doesn’t seem to be tempered or coated for protection. Really simple repair but I do recommend getting the screen and frame as an assembly.
