Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt V2 GPS Cycling/Bike Computer Bundle

Easy to use, pretty accurate once paired ... like the interface and app!

I really liked the new style and black color of this new Bolt V2, but for what it is, I went back to the Roam V1 bundle. Here’s why. So there were not many features on the new V2 to grant the higher price. Extra colors, dual GPS features, more storage memory, and a very nice piano black color… that’s not enough. The biggest reason I returned to the Roam V1 is because it also has color, not as many as the V2 models, the bigger screen at 2.7” vs 2.2” on the Bolts, the battery life is excellent and lastly… the price! I got the Roam V1 bundle for $270 with tax. The Bolt V2 just the unit is $279 not including tax nor the sensors.This is an excellent bundle for those who want the latest and greatest. I just didn’t see the need to spend much more on features I really didn’t need in the first place. Need over want.UPDATE:From my prior review, I do have to say that I returned to the Bolt V2.The Roam V1 is an excellent computer when you have a solid unit. I had a few issues with several and the last one I had worked excellent. But then, the Bolt V2 bundle went on sale for $219, $10 less than the stand alone unit and I had to get it. I returned the Roam V1 bundle purchased at $249 (which is still a great deal) and got $ back in my pocket. Bolt V2 is much smaller than the Roam but I can live with it. The colors are more vibrant and the alert chime is much louder on the Bolt V2. Also, the LED strip is brighter. Storage did increase with the Bolt V2 at 16GB with the Roam V1 being only 4GB. If I’m not mistaken, the Bolt V1 is only a 4GB as well. I did have the Roam V2 for a moment but I didn’t justify paying double (for the bundle) for the same interface and a slight larger screen. Yes, you do get extra LED strip, double the memory and larger screen, BUT.. depending on your settings, only one LED works at a time, I don’t download maps to my unit, so I don’t need the extra memory. As for the screen size difference, all I need to do is tap the side button and zoom into the fields I mainly use and now I have larger font. I do lose battery life from 17 to 15 hours, but I average 1-2 hours a ride… a full charge should last me up to 20-25 hours of activity tracking. Plenty for my needs.

The speed and cadence sensors are standout features for me, providing accurate and reliable data without the hassle of frequent battery changes.One aspect that could be improved is the bundling of the heart rate monitor. While it might be a valuable addition for some, I haven't found a use for it and would prefer a cost-effective package option without it.The compatibility and integration with apps like RideWithGPS and Strava through the companion app have been a pleasant surprise, enhancing my cycling experience by making ride tracking and sharing seamless.I wholeheartedly recommend the Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt V2 to fellow cyclists and would not hesitate to purchase it again for its reliability, ease of use, and excellent app integration.

The best price-quality computer in the market.

I’m a casual rider. I was using older products, chest straps, computer, apps that didn’t share data very efficiently. I picked this bundle up on Prime Day sale. Set up was easy. The computer and Wahoo app interface is user friendly. Plenty of data. Only one bug, that happened twice. On rides my heart rate was reading constant 67, my pulse was 122. Both times I removed the battery from the chest strap and put it back in and it worked fine the rest of the ride. I will get the full summer of rides in this year so I’ll update my review. So far happy with it.

I no longer waste time missing turns and rerouting. The integration with strava and creating routes is awesome. I’m definitely riding faster and saving time with this bike computer. Highly recommend.
