Provides needed flexibility in small single-car garage working area
First off, he will be required to create a base plate for this mobile tool base. Being an avid home woodworker, I had no problem in creating a base out of three-quarter inch plywood. I would imagine that if you were planning to buy this then you should have no problem in creating the necessary plywood base plate. With that said, once constructed, the mobile base is very solid. It has good clearance, easy to move with a load on it and once adjusted, it provides a very solid foundation for your tool, stand and tool. Mine was used to provide mobility for a bench grinder on a small stand. Having a one car garage and a small apartment requires flexibility and ingenuity in use of and storage of tools. The location where I store the bench grinder is not where I want to use the bench grinder so I have to have a method to move it. I had been dragging it from the storage location to where I use it, but that was not the best solution. Haven’t seen these mobile base plates, I thought that would be a very is viable solution. Now that it has been installed it’s very easy to move the grinder around the garage once the car is out. The mobile base plate is very easy to use. Simply step down on the levers for lifting the solid feet off of the floor, roll to where you need to have it, and then reset the feet back onto the floor. One feature that would make the operation immensely more simple would be to have a crossbar mechanism and a single lever to lift the feet vice using separate levers for both sides. It works, but it’s slightly clumsy, of course doing so would increase the cost so it’s a trade-off. All in all I’m very satisfied with the capabilities in the construction of the mobile tool base. If you were like me with limited space and need to move things around a lot. I highly recommend this device.

Works well, takes a little ingenuity depended on use, a few tips I figured out
I needed a new mobile base for my Jet 6 inch jointer. The wheels on the old base were shot and it was in danger of tipping over.I’ve bought a number of Bora machines bases and I have them under my drill press, band saw and my washing machine. I like those bases, they work well. This is the first time I’ve used this model that utilizes bolts to attach to a plywood base. I typically use plywood inserts on the other bases as well.I had zero issues with any of the hardware. I drilled the holes for each wheel a bit smaller than the recommended 1/2 inch. I was still able to easily line up all the screws. There are two lengths of screws for mounting the wheels to plywood. The shorter screws worked best for 3/4 exterior plywood so they don’t drag on the floor. See the photo of the different size screws.Be sure to put the triangular top plates in place with the tapered side facing up to accommodate the tapered screws.I read a of bunch of the 1 star reviews and I suspect these are from folks with little to no DIY experience. The problems they cited other than missing parts all seemed totally out of place to me based on my 50+ years of pulling wrenches and construction work. That being said, don’t buy this wheel base kit it you don’t have solid DIY experience and the right tools.I used a large Phillips screw driver, a nut driver on a small drill motor, drill bits, a table saw to cut the plywood base to size and a Roloc pad and die grinder to smooth the areas around the drill holes in the plywood. Sand paper would work for the latter. One improvement/optionI would like to see would be360 rotating/locking wheels instead of the two fixed wheels. Hope this helps you decide if this base of for you and my observations are on point. Good luck!

Game changer in my small shop
Good, clear instructions. I cut a piece of 1 inch plywood for the bases. Assembles easily. Use for my Delta 10 inch contractors table saw

Very low clearance on wheels.
Making tables for my garage and needed another set of caster. I have been buying larger casters but I thought I'd give these a try.I gave it 4 stars because the instructions are ok but the pictures are really bad. They look well made and easy to set up.One thing to note is these will probably only work in a clean floor with no extension cords or elevation changes larger than maybe an inch. I couldn't easily get it in my garage over the small difference in heights. When I tried to force it over the lip the wheel lock kept resetting. They are not a good choice for me so I will be using larger wheels.
