It's a 3 star key but...
... I am giving it five stars because compared to the several hundred dollars and OEM key costs I could go through more than 10 of these and still save money. And it cost 15 bucks to have it cut at my local hardware store. The remote is very easy to program, beware though, a lot of YouTube videos will give you incorrect information for the 2018 and 2019 Transit but the correct information is out there.Functions exactly like the OEM key fob, all the buttons in the right place doing the right thing.

Worked perfectly for my 2015 Ford Transit Connect LWB
Worked perfectly with my 2015 Ford Transit Connect LWB. Mine has the remote start feature, which I didn't know it did until I accidentally discovered by trying to lock the vehicle by pressing the lock button three times. Since I only had one working key, I researched if there is a way to program a second key with only one key. In my research, I learned that the remote start feature can basically mimic a second functioning key. So the following process only works on Ford vehicles that have the remote start function. So here's how you do it:1) open the drivers side door and sit in the vehicle...leave door open2) using the working key buttons, begin process of doing a remote start, but just before the engine is about to start, tap the brake to shut of the remote start. That will simulate the first key.3) Immediately take your good key and put it into the ignition to the "on" position. Do not start it. Leave it there for a second, then turn it off and pull it out.4) Wait three seconds, then insert new unprogrammed key. Turn it to on position and let it sit...the horn might honk, locks may cycle or in my case there was an audible beep which means the key is programmed. The vehicle may start automatically at this point as well. You should have a working key now!Keep in mind that this is a blank key, so you will need to get it cut. A dealer will do it very expensively for you, so take it to a locksmith. Call around in your area because some locksmiths will also charge you an arm and a leg because they can. I got mine cut for $45.Good luck!

Works for 2016 Ford Transit
The key appears very similar to the factory key. I haven’t checked all the buttons, but so far locks and unlocks fine. I went to a locksmith and they wanted $180 just to cut it and program it. I checked with my local Ford dealer and they were able to cut it for $20 plus tax and then I used the technique you can find online which involves turning the ignition on and off eight times. It worked immediately. I bought my van slightly used and it only came with one key. I will probably use this key now and keep the factory key in a safe place. Get a spare before you lose one! Some vans may require a chip inside for the ignition to work. I read mixed results online about my van needing one, but apparently this key works and it supposedly doesn’t contain the chip.

Worked for my 2019 Transit 250!
I took these to a local locksmith shop and had the keys cut for $15 each. They both work flawlessly! I found a YouTube video to program the remotes and those work as well. These don't have a chip so just double check that your van key doesn't require a chip (Google it). They only way to tell the difference between my original keys and these are that these don't have the small ford logo on the back and the buttons press down a little stiffer(not a good or bad thing, just barely different). Saved me a good chunk of money!

Reviews Misleading
If your vehicle has an immobilizer, ensure you get keys with the transponder. Unfortunately, some reviews are misleading, implying that these keys can be programmed to work with a coded ignition. I did not see that the keys did not support the transponder function. I wish it were more prominently specified on the listing, but the information is available, so I don't hold that against the manufacturer. The only reason I gave the item 4 stars was the programming. I didn't realize these keys were not fully compatible until having them cut and programmed for remote entry. Only one of the keys was easy to program. The other key would not pair to the vehicle despite multiple attempts. Now that I know the keys are incompatible with an immobilizer, I will move on, but be aware that these keys may not easily pair with your vehicle.
