It fits, easy to work with, gets the job done.
I bought another model first, and it didn't fit the pipe correctly and was too long to work in tight spaces. I then returned that model and replaced it with this one. This one worked beautifully! It fit the pipe correctly and its small size made it easier to work with. I was able to remove the Olive in minutes. This is great value if you need to replace under the sink stoppers and don't want to call the Plummer. I also find it well made, should last a lifetime.

Great tool / does what you need it to
Project: Removed two twenty-year-old shutoff values (hot & cold), which also required removing each shutoff values’ brass compression ring from copper water pipes that are 1/2” inside diameter (5/8” outside diameter). The brass compression ring is normally difficult, if not impossible, to slide off of the pipe without a specialized tool (you can check internet for various methods for removing brass compression rings). So did this tool work?Short Answer: Yes; the tool worked. It removed (slid) the brass compression ring off of each pipe.Long Answer: Overall, the tool appears to be well made (feels solid in the hand, well machined, handle & threads move freely without sticking or jamming).Tool description on Amazon says that the tool is “… suitable for brass pipes with diameters of NPT 1/2” & NPT 3/4” …” My project involved 1/2” inside diameter (5/8” outside diameter) copper pipe and it fit perfectly with the tool’s 1/2” fitting. I did not have the opportunity to test the tool’s 3/4” fitting. It took a minute to figure out how best to use the tool (an instructional video I found for a similar tool helped). This tool is not complicated, but if you’ve never used a particular tool before it always helps to see it in action to demystify how best to use it. Note to vendor, a short/simple instructional video with tips would be a nice addition. The handle that comes with the tool worked well to get things started (e.g., seating the tool’s threads into the threads of the shutoff valve’s compression nut and then working the compression ring off the copper pipe a bit), but once the compression ring reached a certain point on the pipe it became difficult to turn the tool’s handle (was hard to get the leverage / torque needed to keep things moving). Per another reviewer’s suggestion I removed the included handle and used a short screw driver as a handle (I used a Torx screwdriver, but a Phillips head would have worked just as well). It gave me the leverage I needed to keep turning the tool to move the compression ring along the pipe until it popped off. There was no damage or deformity in the pipes afterwards.Good tool and recommend. Would be great with a better handle and perhaps the option to seat it in a power drill.

Makes the Job Easy
I finally got to use this when installing a couple of sink valves. Worked perfectly, I am so glad I had it as it made the job easier.

Works great, but you need to oil it
The first ferrule was a lot of work to remove. It took a ton of force to move it. However, once we though to oil (wd40) the threads and the pipe, it worked great and everything came off easy. Would definitely recommend, but know that it needs to be lubricated to work best.

Why did I wait so long?
Knew about this type of tool for years but never pulled the trigger. So glad I finally did. Great quality. Easy to use. Stows away in my tool bag. What I like most about it, is that it's compact. Similar tools are much larger. Highly recommend.

Well machined and made for tight spaces but relies on original nut with mismatched threads
This tool is supposed allow you to remove the ferrule (Olive in the UK) . The tool relies on the old nut that is trapped by the ferrule. There are two problems with this procedure. The existing pipe sticks past the ferrule and will only allow you to use 2 or 3 threads of the existing nut and, due to the fact that the threads per inch on the tool don't match the threads per inch on the nut, may lead to damage of the threads on either the tool, the nut, or both. Instructions or pictures/video would have been very helpful. Since this tool was made in the UK, there may be incompatibility between UK and USA threads.

Very Nice Tool
I'm a licensed plumber here in the states, and this little tool is fantastic for pulling off the brass olives/ferrules for compression angle stops. I was previously using the Husky one that you can buy from home depot, but this tool is better because the leverage you get from the handles makes it easier to use, and because it's way shorter than the Husky one, you can use it in tighter spaces, like a washer box. On a side note, it is also suprisingly solid and durable for the price point too. Supper happy with this tool.

A game changer
Amazingly simple concept. It does the work as advertised. Solid durable construction, excellent quality and design. It would have been impossible for me to remove some of the old fittings without this great tool.
