Inconsistent and unreliable
It’s so difficult to tell when these bulbs stop producing UVB. The light will be on, but my turtle will stop basking and turn pink and I just have to assume that the UVB has stopped working. There’s no telling how long they last, sometimes it seems fine for the recommended six months, but my latest one has barely been in there a month and has a burned spot, and my turtle has stopped basking. I measure the distance carefully so I know it’s where it supposed to be relative to his basking spot. It’s so frustrating to have your animal get sick because you can’t rely on a piece of equipment. He shouldn’t have to get sick every time his light needs to be changed.

Best UV for reptiles!
These are better than the cheap ones and last longer, although should be changed regularly every year.

Not worth the money.
I bought these on October 25th and got them a week later. It’s been less than a month and already BOTH bulbs have burned out. I’ve bought some on the past from pet stores that seemed to way brighter and produced noticeably more heat and they’ve lasted close to a year. Yes, at the pet store one bulb cost what both of these cost, but when you think of quality and longevity of the product it’s still a way better buy. Also, I only use the bulbs for 30 mins a day on my monkeys.
