WORTH.EVERY.PENNY.
The media could not be loaded. One of the older more experienced beekeepers in our association was claiming he must live near "swarm alley", because of all the swarms he had caught in the last two years using the Interceptor. I setup my first trap Mar15, and in two days noticed activity. I immediately bought the five-pack, and that was one month ago and I now have 4 baited traps running, with three swarms successfully trapped and transferred into hives, and I'm looking forward to returning to the yard this week to see the next results. I figure with one or two more captures, these traps will have paid for themselves. In one month!Trapping and transferring was simple, and these traps only smell better as they age. The plastic aborbs the pheromones, and it was delivered pre-baited. A little more swam commander, lemongrass, or a drawn comb frame only increases the odds, and these traps should last many years. I find them lighter and easier to handle than wood boxes, mounts to a tree with a single large nail and large rubber band, (I find the band unnecessary on larger trees or flat sufaces like a fence), and this trap won't easily damage or break if you accidentally drop. If you are risking climbing ladders over 10' up into a tree, these simple improvements are priceless! My only hiccups was my attempting to bait the hive with older drawn comb frames from a commercial operation, that were slightly oversized than a typical deep frame. Once the frames were inserted I found I could not close the lid to lock onto the side tabs. Upon delivery there was a business card including a multicolor ballpoint pen, where the owner requested I contact a phone number with any concerns or questions. I texted the number my problem, and had a response with minutes, explaining I could make two simple cuts on the tabs to fix. I made the cuts and the top snapped down firmly over the tabs. The owner Robert was courteous, professional and very helpful. I have since discovered one more flaw, in that one of the gateways on a single trap, where the holes were slightly too large to keep in the bees. A little hardware cloth and duct-tape fixed the issue while transporting, and Robert explained the 3D printers were already reprogramming the correction for smaller air holes, and that he would mail me 6 new gateways for free.I gave away a sixth Interceptor to a commercial beekeeper, and he successfully captured a very large swam escaping from his yard in one day. He placed the trap next to the swarm, and in hours they had moved in. He wants to add more around all his yards to help control annual losses from swarming. There is enough room in the Interceptor to hold a lot of bees, due to the empty space under the frames. The last trap I transfered had already drawn out new comb under each frame almost to the floor, so I was able to not only transfer the colony, but had the added bonus of additional comb.I read only 30% of swarms survive the process, so I consider the Interceptor a great way to help honeybees flourish, and for beekeepers to obtain excellent long-term value, from an inspirational American-made product. FIVE STARS

It works!!!
The media could not be loaded. 5 days of being in the tree I caught my first swarm. This thing is awesome well made. The owner is super nice and puts notes and tips for the traps. They pre bait the hive so it’s ready when you receive it. Thanks again. I have bought 5 so far.

Absolutely phenomenal.
Often copied but never duplicated. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in the making of these swarm traps is off the chart. This will make the 7th of these that I have purchased. Last year alone I captured 6 swarms with the Interceptor. Very detailed assembly instructions. All stainless steel assembly hardware to insure long life.Same day shipping, how could you not say yes to that! Thank you!

WAY overpriced
A perfectly acceptable swarm trap, but Holy Cow is it expensive!! At 30% of the price point I would probably buy 25 or 30 but for 125/each I will stick to building them out of plywood for about 8 bucks in material and 30 minutes each.
