Very complete set, I keep it in my camper for that 'oh crap' repair when you need it most

If you have any PEX water lines or you plan on getting any you need a set of tools to add more pipe or make repairs. I am very happy I had them when my motorhome had a few leaks. The clamp tool is a breeze to operate. Just a squeeze of the handle tightened things up and stopped the leaks. It is fairly large, and if you need to work in a tight space you may have an interference issue. The cutting tool was sharp and worked as advertised.

I don't work with PEX regularly so didn't want to spend a lot of money. This set was reasonably priced and it does the job. The cutter doesn't have a lot of leverage so can be a bit difficult to use if access isn't that great but it does cut OK normally. The crimper does the job but lacks leverage making it difficult to fully crimp 1 inch clamps - easy enough on smaller sizes. The crimper has plates on the sides of the jaws that make it hard to see and properly align them on the clamp. You have to have the handles all the way open for the plates to retract far enough and it is still hard to see if they are on the clamp properly. However, small gripes for an inexpensive tool that gets the job done.

Went by big box store to check out getting one and the cheap one was going for $40. That did not include a cutter, or a small batch of rings. Not pictured on the seller page, but arrived with my tool was a jaw gap gauge. Occasionally tools need adjustments, and this test before starting each job makes me more confident that leaks will not be in my future.

I bought this set back in March for a little job I had. First time working with PEX , the tools worked great, clamps are of good quality. For a DIY guy these tools are fine.Today I had to install a new deep well jet pump and needed a way to cut 3/4 PVC besides a saw. I remembered the cutters that came with my PEX set , got the cutters out and wasn't expecting them to work but low and behold they cut that PVC very well. I probably made 8 or 10 cuts and the cutters did it with ease. They held up and it didn't hurt themFor the price for this set ya can't go wrong.
