Now that 2x the price it's still a good timer but . ..
For the price this thing rocks . **Update I see the price is now 2x the price as I paid . ** Some said it didn't work out of box. I think they didn't read or watch the video on how to work it . This one is a home run the knobs are appx time on / off but if you need exactly you can turn them just a we bit and you will get it bang on . Just like the other more expensive ones like it . Without going to digital. Seen sum good deals on them . 30 bucks for 2 just a fyi Hit the helpful button so I know its helped you out Thanks

Works, but the mode switching is retarded.
I am using the timer to run a heat trace system on a water line in winter. It works fine once you get it set up, but the mode switch from normal to day/night to 24 hr is horrible. You need to plug it in, and roll the dials to maximum within 5 seconds or something like that. Took about 3 tries before it actually worked.I've only had it going for about 2 weeks, so no information on durability.

Follow instructions for set up
This was the most reasonably priced timer i could find to control a 1/4 hp pump at variable intervals according to certain conditions. It worked exactly like it was supposed to and was very reliable, as to not having to worry if it was operating properly in my absence. Never used photocell mode, so i can't comment on that. The timer settings on the dials are fairly close, but if you need an exact time you will have to test it against a watch, and tweek settings from there. Overall a great product, just have to wait a bit to receive.

Worked great for 6 weeks
Worked until it didn’t. Used it to control a relay for my walk in cooler. When it died, it cycled the on off switch about 20 times a second. Burnt up the relay it was controlling. Returned and got my money back. I’d order another one for next season for sure. Maybe the electronic version.

Excellent product
Bought this timer to control a transfer pump rated half horse power at 8 amps, after heavy rain a bathroom trap in our basement can fill with water and overflow potentially flooding our basement but there is no way to get a sump pump in so the transfer pump and the timer keep our basement dry. A typical scenario for my use of this timer would be on time set to 30 seconds and off time anywhere from 12 minutes to 40 minutes depending on hydro static pressure or to put it another way the amount of water moving through the water table due to rain or snow melt.Used this timer for this application for 10 days non stop at the aforementioned intervals.Because of the initial kick in draw on the timer I don't know what the maximum workable amps would be,the timer is rated 15 amps maximum at one horse power but the viable maximum amps may be different to the rated maximum. The timer is not digital so if you need exact times you will need to play around and mark the dials.Hope this information helps,I am actually thinking of purchasing a spare.
