This does just what it's supposed to do - be a mattress pad. It's not fancy or thick, but covers the mattress nicely. The pockets are very deep and will stayed tucked in on a 14-inch mattress, unlike my previous mattress pad that was thick but didn't have enough material to tuck very far even though it was supposed to be more than enough for the depth of the mattress. This is rather thin, but that's what I wanted as I don't need the extra padding to make the bed softer. It's already too soft. The noise level is not an issue at all as there doesn't feel like there's any plastic involved, just a little padding inside of the quilted material. I don't know about leak resistance or waterproof-ness, but we don't drink or eat in bed so that will help. Overall, it's a mattress pad that appears to have decent quality, covers the mattress adequately, and will stay where it's supposed to stay.

I have a cal king which had a very used mattress cover, so I ordered this one and have had it well over a year, all good except it is starting to get a bit warn but it fits the form/bed well and is easy to clean.

This is an awesome mattress pad. I think this one is nice because it’s adequately sized to give plenty of room for my deep mattress. We do not have to fight with corners like we did on our old one. I’ll definitely buy this again.

Not a Topper. The description is misleading because this is just a mattress pad. This is not a topper. Yes, it goes on top of the mattress, but it ends there. It’s a nice mattress pad, but not a topper. Toppers are thicker and add comfort.
