Not a 4 way speaker. But, still happy with my purchase.
I was looking for a decent, name brand speaker, for a really cheap price ($35 on Amazon with prime shipping). I am Pretty sure that is exactly what I got. I just came inside from installing these on my daughter's '08 Pontiac G6. I had to alter the rear deck mounting bracket slightly to make these Blaupunkt GTX 690s fit. As others have mentioned, one of my speaker grills was broken upon opening the box. However, I did not need the grills for my install...so, not a deal breaker for me. The factory G6 speakers had completely quit working. So, my intent was to use these solely as a factory speaker replacement. My install consists of the factory head unit, factory speaker wire (purchased cheap harness adapters. So, i did not have to cut or cold solder my harness ends.) only. No amp. So, keep that in mind with reading this review. After installing. I drove the car around town trying out different types of music at high and low volume. I found that these speakers had a nice bass response for a 6x9. Their listed frequency is not that of a sub woofer. So, I was not expecting much. However, with rock, country and definitely the modern, horrible (marbles in your mouth) rap crap...there was enough bass to vibrate the interior review mirror. In my opinion, the highs were fairly crisp, but I found the mid bass was a bit muddy sounding. At lower volumes, these speakers aren't very clear or crisp. But, that is what I expected for a $35 speaker. During the install I questioned my knowledge of speaker construction. The ad, the box etc., claim that this is a 4-WAY speaker. Unless they are explaining the woofer and tweeter both travel in a North and South direction. I do not understand how this is considered a 4-WAY speaker. If you look at the specs. It clearly mentions a woofer and a tweeter. No mention of a mid range or full range driver. So, I am assuming that the pretty blue things on the sides of the tweeter are just that. PRETTY BLUE THINGS THAT PRODUCE NO SOUND. I am not disappointed though. After playing them(abusing them)at 80% of the head units output for 45 minutes straight. I found them to be a decent all around speaker that my daughters will think are awesome. I will be installing the matching 6.5" in the doors later this week. I expect that I will be equally pleased with my cheap purchase... Even if the fake 4-way claim and broken grill were were somewhat disappointing.

Amazing speakers
*These were installed in a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP rear deck lid and powered by an AMP*I was quite surprised by these speakers. The sound quality, and bass these output is phenomenal. These are hooked up to a 3200 Watt/800w RMS 4 Channel Amplifier along with the other set of speakers. If you give these the correct amount of power, you will be as impressed as I am with them. Surprisingly you will think you are running a subwoofer with these speakers the way the bass hits with them. Even with all the bass output, the highs and mids are extremely clean.I can't attest to how these sound with no external amplifier powering them, but at such an inexpensive price, and the quality these speakers put out, this should be a no brainer for a purchase... Now to figure the best way to modify my 5.25 door speakers to accept 6x9 speakers so I can run another set of these....Anyone complaining that these are NOT 450w, does not understand audio. 450w is the PEAK power. a burst of up to 450w. (Not constantly run at 450w.) The RMS is 150w, which is what the safe operating power is to constantly run. Always check what the RMS power is. Manufactures will always flaunt the peak power as bigger is better! Both RMS and PEAK is important, but when setting the power, do not exceed the RMS.For reference, a stock audio system with no aftermarket or stock amplifier USUALLY runs speakers at less that 20w per speaker. I am running these at around 120w per speaker. These are LOUD. Putting the full potential power into these made the LOWEST volume setting on my deck too loud for easy conversation with a passenger. Even now on the lowest it is borderline. (Small car).

Great buy!
Very satisfied with these speakers. I am powering these with a cheap head unit and a 3200W 12V 4 Channel Car Amp. The bass sounds amazing! Music is clear. One of the best purchases I’ve made.

They break after one year, Don't wast your money on this garbage.
It is NOT a four-way speaker is the two-way, the Twitter in the middle is the only one connected the other two on each side are just for looks, they don't work, the sound coming out of the twitter is horrible, voice coil flex wire that goes to the tweeter broke after one year on one speaker, on the other speaker the main voice coil flex wire broke last week.Don't wast your money on this garbage.
