Metzenbaum Scissors Curved 6" Surgical Veterinary Stainless Steel Instruments

I bought these to aid in ostomy care but find that I use bandage scissors much more frequently. It's not a knock on these scissors, just personal preference.

These are extremely easy to cut circular holes!

These are good quality, cut well, and fairly heavy duty. Maybe a little too heavy duty for my intended purpose because their thickness means the point is not well suited for fine detail work. Kept these for general first aid and household use but bought smaller scissors for more intricate cutting.

Excellent. To be honest, given the low price and the number of reviews for less than 5 stars, I really wasn’t expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package and even happier when I used the scissors the first time. The scissors are made from heavy stainless steel, with a nice smooth matte finish. The blades are curved to make cutting small circles a breeze. The blades are also blunt tipped to help prevent any accidental punctures of any ostomy bags/pouches. Bottom Line - Quality product at a decent price. I would purchase again.

I ordered 3 pairs of these to keep around our farm. They work great for anything that requires cutting for medical care on our animals

These were listed as being Stainless Steel - yet nowhere on the packaging did that appear. The listing states the instrument as being "Highly Polished" stainless steel, showing smoothly rounded tips, a slotted screw at the pivot and the blade separation slanting off to the right. The ones I received were not polished making them difficult to clean, had blunt tips, no slotted screw at the pivot, and separator slanting off to the left. The packaging was full of warnings about exposure to cleaning agents - while true stainless instruments laugh at ethylene oxide. I will be returning these. I have attached some images of of surgical Metzenbaums (My Mets) from the hospital.

I bought these to have to cut colostomy wafers for my husband. I love that they are longer than the ones we got when he first got out of the hospital. They cut great. After we use them for a month Ill come back and do another review.
