Ich möcht einmal darauf hinweisen, dass man mit diesem Zirkel keinen Radius einstellen kann. Die Skaleneinteilung bezieht sich auf die Kreisgröße. Also wenn man z.B. 4 einstellt erhält man einen 4 cm großen Kreis, nicht wie viele annehmen einen 8 cm großen. Es ist auf der Skala der Durchmesser nicht der Radius angegeben

First, this is a cheap circle cutter, second it will cut circles as small as 8mm diameter if you are willing to take it apart and adapt it, this should be easy enough for any model maker. Undo both black plastic knurled adjusters until they come apart and the brass threaded screws can be removed from the rear of the cutter then slide off the handle and the compass part with the point, you can then carefully file down the black plastic part that holds the compass point until it's flush with the body making the body part 2-3mm narrower. When you have done this reassemble the cutter putting the compass part on first followed by the handle part, this has the effect of making compass point sit a lot closer to the cutting blade.A tip for when you use this cutter to cut small circles for masking model kits is to cut a piece of an old cereal packet about 80mm square and stick your masking tape to the waxy or shiny side of the cereal box square place this on a model cutting board, lightly push your circle cutter point into the centre of your masking tape/cardboard and when your ready to cut a small circle TURN the cardboard square NOT the circle cutting tool a full circle and you will get a perfect small circle cut into your masking tape which you can peel off your shiny cardboard. Do not try and turn the circle cutter when cutting small circles as it will move and ruin the circle it cuts larger circles fine using it the normal way. Works well on materials like plastic and cardboard etc. Very sharp cutter blade. Can be used to cut even smaller circles by removing the handle part in the middle.
