The cups are unusable. They're cardboard cups. As soon as you put water your water turns yellow cuz of the cardboard. Don't even want to try the tea after seeing how poor the cups are, I also tried to email them and I still haven't gotten the response. It's been a week

The design of the cups or recipients is beautiful. The mate is good quality so you have to use just a little bit every time. It is better with sugar or honey and mint. I am glad I bought it. I gave one to my son and the half of the mate package.

I loved drinking yerba matte through the gourds. The taste profile was significantly different than in a mug/glass. The size of the gourds are a bit large, you end up using a lot of matte. As well, the metal straws do not seem to effectively filter the leaves. I didn't mind but my mother-in-law did not like it. As well, There is a lot of mess/cleaning after and I was not exactly sure if I should clean it with soap etc. Pieces of the actual gourd came out. I was told there is a way to season/prime the cup, I definitely missed this step.

As someone who works with a lot of argentine's who drink an extensive amount of Maté... This is really not the greatest value for your money.The gourds are two different sizes, which I think is somewhat understandable, given the fact that they are natural gourds...HOWEVER, they are far too big and any argentino will tell you that the gourds are too big to drink out of because they require too much yerba.Realistically, even with the smallest gourd you would have to share and drink it quickly or it would ruin the taste of the Yerba.Overall, a great idea and an earnest attempt at trying to bring the tradition of maté to the mainstream, Western market... But it falls short of its attempt.Most people in Argentina use smaller gourds, silicone, metal and leather or a similar product that cost less than this product does, works better and preserves the flavor far better than these gourds do.Also, the metal band around the top of the cord causes it to leak if you turn it upside down, something that is mandatory for removing the spent yerba.Hope this helps

The mates are excellent quality and come with best practice instructions for curing and cleaning. The travel pack of yerba is the perfect amount to cure both mates. The bombillas and cleaning tools work perfectly and are easy to clean. I recommend their online kiosko for additional goodies.If you're new to mate/yerba I recommend getting an electric kettle and sealable thermos to heat and store the water quickly.Packages from both Amazon and retailer arrived on time and intact, which is a feat considering the distance they travel. If only they sold the fruit packets for tereré.

Complete junk I wish I could give this less than 1 star these were delivered dented and paper ripped up on the inside straws were missing the cups feel like thin cardboard. I'm so disappointed. Returning these immediately.

I highly recommend this as a gift. I've given it to several people and they just love it! It looks great and the fact it comes with a starter pack is even better!
