This machine exceeds expectation! We use it every day and it works like a champ. The case is a little cumbersome given its size but it holds everything you need. The clever, while not a top of the line device works good for what it is and gets the job done.

after 5000 or more burns and changing electrodes after about 4000, I can highly recommend this machine. I'm not a guy in a lab somewhere doing a burn now and then. I do hundreds of burns weekly doing PRODUCTION fusion splicing. I have used this machine in my trailer with hot and cold temps, high ambient humidity, dust and dirt, out in the weeds, in IT rooms with no AC plugs in yet and this machine has been ridiculously good delivering .01 burns dozens at a time. It tolerates imperfect cleaves better than any machine I've seen. I wouid literally rather use this machine than the brand new fuji 90s my company just got me. it's a $12000 hit/miss lemon with way too many bells and whistles and more crap to go wrong on it.

The media could not be loaded. Out of the box this passed the bench test. I can't speak to longevity, but if it gets you through 5-10 jobs it will pay for itself a few times. You definitely don't get the automation you would with Fujikura or Sumitomo, but you're paying 1/10th of the cost. It also comes with a VFL, some 3 way strippers (similar to the Jonards), and extra electrodes.

Just did an overnight fiber swing the machine worked perfectly . Worked just as well as the more expensive machines. Would recommend getting one

I only occasionally do splicing, but the full-time splicers I work with (they do thousands of splices a week) are always raving about the Ji-long/KomShine/Orientek machines for their very affordable price as well as being quality, reliable machines. I finally pulled the trigger and got my own so I didn't need to borrow someone else's equipment when I need to do a small repair job or an install. It was delivered in two days. Everything was in perfect working order and the test splices I did came out perfect. Sleeve heater is pretty fast. Came with a bunch of additional items in the kit which I'll keep for a backup, but I'm sticking to my Miller strippers and Menda alcohol bottle. The clever is decent, but if you're going to be doing a lot of splicing, you should spring for something like the trusty Fujikura CT-30. All-in-all a great buy and I'm completely satisfied.

Kit works properly, very user friendly.

This is a go-to splicer for me. I use it more than my 90R fuji.
