works fine but number needed not clear
Would helped to know I needed 2 to replace the existing one in my old cleaner. It wasn't real obvious and just said replacement for the model I had. My bad for not checking the specs but may not have done it if I knew the price was twice what thought.

Helps an Asthmatic Chick Breathe Easier
I was diagnosed with asthma about a year ago and also found out that my only allergen is to cats (I own three), I've had to make some adjustments to my life. Having a portable air filter that I can move from room to room is part of the adjustment. The Honeywell Hepa filters are the cheapest around that fit in my air purifier. I need three of them, but even three are cheaper than the large one that I could buy to go in the unit. It can get pricey; I have to replace these about four times a year, but it's better than the alternative, which is that my asthma worsens and I have an attack that lands me in the emergency room. That hasn't happened yet since I'm being compliant with everything my asthma specialist tells me to do. My asthma is obviously adult-onset, and I think the situation in this country will only worsen because we have so many toxins in our air.

Smells terrible
I was a little bummed I had to buy 3 of these to stack vs a single piece, but I understand why. I'd do the same honestly if all the units I sold had the same diameter. What I can't overcome is the fact this smells terrible. Others have said it, and others have said it goes away. I've run this for a day, and then multiple hours per day. You do get accustomed to the smell if you're in the same room, but once you leave and return, it smacks you in the face. The smell will not go away. It's like a rubber chemical smell. I can't describe it well. But it's enough to want me to throw the whole unit out for a different brand.Additionally, my unit now wobbles/vibrates a LOT at low speed. At max, it does not have that problem. This happened right after I switched from the single HEPA to the 3 piece one.I'm disappointed because I had this for two years. It's loud, but does a decent job of moving and cleaning air. Not all that great in reducing dust, but I think my vents are the bigger issue on that front. But this year, it was smelling moldy and it was the HEPA filter. So I had to swap it. I wish I didn't toss the OEM packing because I figured the smell would fade away.

Pricey solution, but works well.
It takes three of these to replace my original filter, but it's working well with one foam gasket. No noise beyond the actual airflow. I'd like to see them come down in price a bit for those of us who have to purchase multiples for our larger models, but I'm happy that there's no whistling noise. One of the filters was in a rather smashed box, although the outer box was fine, so Amazon clearly shipped a damaged box.

not quite the same as the original filter
I had to get these for my 50150 air purifier since the original filter is not available anymore. Unfortunately 2 of these put together (per instructions) is slightly larger than the original filter and the bottom doesn't tighten up all the way like the original one.I'll be looking for 3rd party options for my second purifier.

You probably will need 2 or 3 of these to replace your existing single filter Honeywell Air Purifier.
One thing to note. This is a single stackable filter. It is a replacement that needs to be combined to work in various sized honeywell air purifiers depending on the model. the 12520 model requires 2 of these. the 13520 requires 3 of these. the 11520 requires just the one filter. The replacement filter part number 22500 = to two of these. The replacement part number 24000 filter = three of these. I've been using a 3 filter stack on a honeywell 13520 air purifier and it's doing fine it's now on it's 2nd year. Look for deals on these at under $20 each.

Terrific Price for HEPA filter
I have HEPA filters on everything possible: 3 Honeywell air purifiers and the vacuum cleaner. They really work, but usually they are quite pricey. Fortunately, I found these. It takes 3 of these stacked up together for my particular units, but it is well worth it. After you dust the furniture, it takes longer for the dust to build back up when using a good air purifier with a great HEPA filter.
