A great lubricant
I have used this for several years when performing basic garage door maintenance. It works well on the hinges and the springs to preserve those parts and to quiet the door. It goes on as a foam and seems to penetrate well. You do have to be careful not to spray too much as it will drip.

Excellent garage door lubricant
This garage door lubricant from Blaster is very easy to use, with a well-designed nozzle, long-lasting lubrication effect, and can effectively reduce noise. It is suitable for use on various metal parts and is a good helper for garage maintenance. Recommended!

Blaster Garage Door Lubricant ended my garage door's complaints
After reading the reviews of the Blaster Garage Door Lubricant, I decided to give it a try over my previous go-to product for garage door lubrication. Here on the Gulf coast, high heat and higher humidity are a challenge to all metal on metal equipment. Also, our gumbo soil tends to shift the foundation of my free standing garage at will. This combination of a corrosive environment and constantly being somewhat out of square presents a perfect opportunity, whether going up or coming down, for the 8' X 16' all metal door to complain bitterly and loudly to the whole neighborhood about my assault on its desire to sit and rust without interference from me. Anyway, I have been using another product to calm the screeching door for several years satisfactorily, or what I had determined was an acceptable level of noise. The other reviews talk of the Blaster product shooting a lot of volume at a time. The reviews also indicate the goop clings to the components without oozing toward the floor. Thought it might be something for me.Boy, am I glad I tried it. I hit every roller, every pin, spring, the whole chain drive on the opener, and guide channels. It was so easy. The carrier chemicals shot out far enough to hit every thing I wanted. And it clung where it hit. Even though my cars were outside, I did not see one drip on the garage floor. All the silicone carrier goop stayed where I shot it. Next I tested it. Meh...about the same as the previous product. I puttered around and did a few things before putting away my cars. After I did that, I cycled the door closed...and could not believe my ears. No squeaks, no lurching of the chain drive whatsoever. It sounded like the day it was installed. I ran it up and down several times. No noise, no grab. Apparently the silicon had to disperse into all the components. For over a couple of months now, it has just worked. When my wife has a late meeting, I was always accustomed to the creaks and groans of the garage door heralding her arrival. Not anymore.I did use a whole can on one application. Depending on your environmental considerations your mileage will probably vary. I do not know how soon I will need to reapply. Six months to nine months between applications has been average for me. If it is a year or more before I use my second can, I will be super pleased. I definitely recommend Blaster Garage Door Lubricant.
