My house is newly built, and has 2x Tp-one-b Thermostats that control only the heating. The boiler is a Log 35. If you have WIRED thermostats installation is easier with this kit (wired) rather than the wireless kit.Very easy to set up, the instructions on the app are amazing and really do give you a customised install, the thermostats were as easy as turning off the power, scanning in the app, taking the old ones of the wall and putting in the two cables into the same marked holes in the Tado. All in all full installation took me only around 40 minutes.They paired to Homekit perfectly and now look great and work as expected.I got this starter kit and an extra thermostat for around £160 total on sale, so I would recommend doing the same.

I was quite nervous about upgrading my heating to a smart system. After much research and deliberation I went for Tado. Good choice!I've now been up and running for over 6 months and am 100% happy with the results.There were a couple of questions during installation but using the Tado on line help I got personally tailored answers, usually within a couple of hours. The respondent had obviously read my question and the answer was spot on.I'm now able to just heat the parts of the house I want too and at the time I need to. The phone app works perfectly on my budget android phone which pulls it all together well.I can now turn the heating on just as I am leaving the pub😁. Perfect😁.My skill level? I would describe it as "competent DIYer".I find it hard to believe I could have found a better solution than Tado and can 100% recommend this system.

I bought this to replace my bog standard thermostat in my new build house. Was very easy to install and had it up and running in no time.I went for the tado (rather than a Nest or Hive) as I'm planning on adding the TRV's at some point so I can control each room independently.One downside I've learnt is the internet bridge has to have connectivity constantly, otherwise the schedule doesn't work. For example, if you had your heating schedule to be at 21 degrees in the morning and 16 degrees in the afternoon, if your internet went down, your heating would stay on at 21 degrees all day until the internet came back on.As someone else, you don't need to have TVRs in every room for this to work. This is just a straight thermostat swap.

Bought this to replace our old analogue thermostat and to add smart function to our existing timer.Really easy to install as long as you take your time and follow the instructions properly. Tado walk you through the whole instalation process step by step on the app.Once it's set up it's very easy to set multiple programs with different temperatures at different times (compared to the old analogue Honeywell thermostat that could only be set to a single temperature and the analogue timer was set with push pegs)Now I can program the boiler to fire up for the morning at 21c and then automatically turn the heat down for the rest of the day to 15c until dusk when it boosts up to 20c.The possibilities are endless.It was easy to set up with Alexa and Google so I can turn the heat up or down remotely or by voice commands. Should have bought this ages ago

The thermostat was easy to install. Being hard wired really did worry me, however simple instructions and common sense made the install very easy. Only issue I had, was the power lead for the little hub is stupidly short. 30cm maybe, which just makes it impractical in 99% of installations.Easy to configure and connect up to Alexa also and responds to the very few basic commands you can give.Downsides are its limitations within the Tado app and the Alexa integration. If you use an Alexa command, you have to go back in to the Tado app to revert back to the auto heating schedule, there is no way to do this with Alexa. So any time you boost the heating, the app is also required, so defeats the object to an extent. Temperature is easily controlled with Alexa, but again, any changes results in the schedule being stopped and having to go in to the app to continue it, shame as it surely is simple enough to ensure scheduling remains in place... Would recommend as was cheaper than replacing the faulty timer on our combi.

I had a battery thermostat which was wired to the boiler. I had the same for a second zone. Looking at Hive and other similar products it was an expensive upgrade and needed wiring changes on my boiler for a hub. These units are a great alternative. Cheaper and really easy to install and the app is great too. I installed my main o e first and liked it so much I bought a second thermostat for my 2nd Zone.

Installed this recently. Instructions were easy. I have an older heating system but this still works well and gives me option of setting as many timers as I like compared to just 2 on my control. Works with alexa too so great that I can turn heating on without moving off sofa......or switch heating on when on my way home. I work random shifts so this is perfect!
