Exactly what I needed
These are reminiscent of the cigar boxes we used to use for school supplies when I was a kid thought not quite as strong. I find them to be very useful around the house.

The lid warps when you paint it. The lid corners turn up wards.

Matte Finish Paper, Ready For Crafting Projects. Cigar Box Size and Style
I bought these for the size, but I didn't realize they would be a matte finish. Right now I do not have the time to decorate the boxes and make them pretty....did not realize they were for that purpose...while I wait to find the time, I will need to be careful when handling them since they will pick up oils and dirt from hands and surfaces very easily. While having said all of that......two of my grandchildren will be visiting this week, and while I was disappointed and surprised about the paper covering the boxes, they will be perfect for my kiddos to have fun with and make 1 or 2 boxes to stash away their secret treasures....I plan to help with the craft as well, and we'll have fun! Decoupage would make a better surface! Sounds like fun! 5 stars for providing me with an unexpected, useful craft for my lovies :)
