Very good
Ordered this on Amazon Prime, just got it today. I ordered the "used, like new" champagne-colored case, for about $55.Pretty good, basically new, especially for the price I paid. However, the interior is a different color than pictured, since it was actually black, not a purplish- maroon color, which isn't necessarily a bad thing since I actually prefer the black color over the purple. The material was really soft inside (feels like the fur you would find on a stuffed animal). My violin fit pretty snug inside; however that really depends on the size of your violin, as sizes still vary, even if they all are 4/4 size. There is velcro to secure the violin, but it is glued on and seems to be made of cheaper plastic material. The bow holders (twist) were average. There is also a mini strap attached to the cover and bottom of the case to hold the top up.It came with straps, which were placed inside the case, bundled with rubber bands. I have to say, the straps are pretty good quality, especially compared with the typical cheap plastic straps you would find in other violin cases. The lock was also a nice addition, came with clear instructions on how to set/reset the three digit passcode. The handle was pretty sturdy, made of plastic with metal inside for a nice spring when you grab it.The case was able to stand on its own when set down and opened (without the straps attached). HOWEVER, it will move around if you put it down with the straps attached, as the straps will create a bump. Also, be careful, since it doesn't close perfectly; if you just casually close it, the top will go on top of the violin (the bridge, as it is the highest part). You have to make sure to close the case carefully if you don't want to accidentally damage the violin, with the cover pressing down on it. However, it will close nicely if you pull the top slightly towards you when closing it, so the bridge/strong section of the violin will go under the part the is curved in on the cover, between the two bows. There isn't a specific pocket to put you rest. However, there is a compartment on the left side if you look down towards the case. I have to say, it would have been a lot more convenient if it was slightly bigger. My rest doesn't fit perfectly because of the length of the compartment, so I have to slightly squeeze it in. However, I can manage to fit my rest (Everest brand), an extra rest (same brand), and a small rosin in it.For the outside, the zipper goes pretty smoothly without any problems. The material of the case is very sturdy, seems to be made of the material you would find on some hard suitcases. There is also a sort of black medium-hard plastic material surrounding the zippers. Relatively light.Overall the case is pretty worth. Interior is good. However, compartment could be bigger and velcro made of better-quality material. Outside is also good with no changes I see necessary.

Solid protection, light weight, easy access to violin
Lightweight case, good protection. It's not got "cushy" protection like many of the suspension cases, but my violin sits solidly in the case with very little movement. There's no velcro strap to hold down the neck, which I liked. Those always seem to add an extra step to removing and replacing your violin without any benefit of protection, so I'm happy it wasn't included in this case. There are D rings to add straps for a backpack-style transportation. One possible improvement would be to add D rings for a traditional, over-the-shoulder strap. Great case - would highly recommend.

Overall good case but didn't match picture
This product is probably what should be expected for the money. The velcro that holds the violin neck in place is held in by poor quality glue. I like it overall but am disappointed that the lining seems cheap and does not match the picture. While it isn't a huge deal, it seems like a lot of these chinese made violin products only loosely adhere to the advertised features and images. Instead of the vibrant and plush-looking red lining, it has a dull black lining. The accessory case just barely fits my Everest shoulder rest which I have to cram in somewhat forcefully. If you have a nicer shoulder rest that doesnt collapse in length, it may be a challenge. The lock mechanism seems decent enough to deter a curious child but wouldn't stop anyone intent on opening the case. While that's a lot of negative, I do like the durable hard plastic shell. It seems like a firm soft plastic that can take a beating and isn't going to crack. Kind of like what you would find on plastic shell hard luggage these days. The handle is nice and has a good spring action, the bow holders are solid, and the zipper seems fairly sturdy. The included straps seem to be of decent quality, however I dont plan to have them on the case full time, and once you put the bare necessities in the solitary accessory compartment, theres no room for the straps.

Appropriate Value
Used this for an SV-130 Yamaha Electric Violin, CF bow, tuner, rosin, cables, batteries, hygrometer, humidifier, earbuds. Fits perfect. This case is appropriate for any use (local lessons, basic traveling). The ABS plastic shell is lined with the typical styrofoam+felt interior. Feels and looks like it can take some abuse. However, I wouldn't trust it checked with the airlines on a recurring basis. Nifty combination lock mechanism to keep honest people honest. Relatively light. Shoulder strap and carry handle included.Case exterior looks and feels good; aesthetics could be mistaken for a firearm case (in a good way). Exterior shell is waterproof but the zipper seam is definitely not water resistant (no seam cover). Zipper is average. Carry handle is secure. Rubber feet only on the bottom/hinge side. Case is unbalanced and may tilt a bit when you remove the violin; not a big deal. No pockets to store sheet music/books.Interior is typical flocked felt type of material that has been glued to the styrofoam inner shell. Typical compartments/accommodations for 2 bows, and a paneled compartment for rosin, tuner, cables, etc. Exterior has D-rings for the included shoulder strap to carry across your back. Bow spinners are wanting and have questionable durability (they could be fine). Likely easy to replace if they break. No hygrometer in this case which isn't a bad thing. The types included with cases are usually rubbish as I understand it, anyhow. Bought an Oasis hygrometer+humidifier.Happy with it. I definitely got what I paid for. I'll update if that changes.
