Gun Safe Replacement Lock Chrome Digital Keypad Electronic Lock, Solenoid Safe Lock Mechanism, 14 Pin DIY Safe Lock

So, just a quick review here to counter a couple bad reviews that I saw on this replacement lock set. I was hesitant to buy this based upon some reviews saying it wasn't right, or it didn't fit. But I did the smart thing and compared the pictures in the listing to what was installed on my safe. This IS the EXACT same stuff that originally came with my Stack-On safe. I mean really, EXACT; same fit, same look, same quality. I had ZERO issues installing this or programming it. It only took about 15 minutes to install and my safe now works like new again. If you bought this and it didn't work for you; then you either bought the wrong stuff or you should never touch tools and attempt mechanical things again in your life! Don't believe the naysayers; if you buy the right replacement set this will work perfectly for you. If you know how to use a screwdriver; this set will work perfectly for you. Glad I bought this set, and I'll buy another if I ever need one again. Perfect!

Rarely write reviews, but I find it ridiculous that I had a key pad malfunction in about a year of owning my Canon Gun Safe!.....I saw, like many were frustrated with this same problem after spending a good grip of money to keep our valuables and guns protected for a lifetime warranty safe. So, instead of pain staking customer service calls I read about, I came upon this replacement key pad. It was easy to replace if you have the Canon type B keypad. I replaced everything except the reset button (kept the one that was there) which I figured was not any part of the malfunction. Besides some color variation of the motherboard, the whole system seemed exactly the same. I hope this helps anyone whom is experiencing the same issue, of draining battery, some numbers would not work, and a constant yellow light accompanied by a beeping every few seconds! Hopefully this lasts longer than the original, working like a charm so far!

Bought a store demo gunsafe and couldn't change combo. This item was almost exactly like the original, but was easy to change to my desired combo. Works well.

Half the keys on the number pad of my Sentinel safe I got from Walmart suddenly stopped working. This is a direct replacement of the keypad and fit perfectly. Since I only replaced the keypad, I did not have to reprogram the combination since the existing motherboard was fine. The new pad fits right onto the existing mounting plate as well. The installation was very easy, hardest part was lining up the screws for the door padding panel after the keypad swap.I deducted one star for two reasons. First, I feel these replacement parts are a bit too expensive for what they are. Second reason is there was no option to only purchase the keypad by itself. I had to buy the kit which had the keypad, and included a motherboard and solenoid. Having a spare board and solenoid isn't necessarily a bad thing, I just would not have purchased them if given the option.

Was an exact replacement for a cannon safe

I am not a locksmith but I'm pretty good with hand tools. (Instructions state to have a locksmith install this lock). I have a Homak gun safe that was having problems with the electronic lock. I called Homak and they said the safe was too old for them to help. (Bought it about 10 years ago.) I checked on Amazon and there were several lock options. This lock looked close to what I have on my safe and it ended up fitting perfectly. The original threaded holes in the safe's door fit exactly to the new touch pad backing plate. There was a difference in the operation. A separate push button switch had to be installed to reset the entry code. I installed it on a flange on the inside of the door. The button is secure and the code can't be changed when the safe is closed and locked. The backup/override key also fit through the door without any adjustments.
