Great game, highly recommend
I played this at a friend's house and enjoyed it so much that I brought the game from Amazon using my phone during the game. I have played it about 6-7 times and enjoy it greatly every time I play.Pros- Plays and teaches quickly. Setup takes only minutes. Most people 'get' the rules quickly (though seeing how the different cards work together takes time). And, play time is fairly close to an hour, depending on how much "considering" the players take.- Variety of buildings and strategies makes replay value high- Solo game helps you find ideas and strategies... and is just fun. You play to see how many points you can generate.- Excellent game design, even if you don't get the dice you wanted each turn, it is rare to have a turn when you have nothing you can do- There is a "last ditch effort" move you can make to catch up to other players, so even while trailing you can still have a chance to catch upCons- Certain cards and combinations of cards work together better than others- Some of the specific cards have very specific rules... be sure you read the rules for each card before you use them in a game- The "rich get richer" in the game, and it isn't unusual for someone to be way out ahead on both the number of dice they get each turn and points

Underrated Gem
Do you like strategy games? Do you like engine builders? What about dice games where you get to manipulate and mitigate the faces? Colony has all of this and more. Each player builds up their own colony of buildings that allow them to race to be the first to a certain amount of points. The game comes with multiple decks of cards which aren't used in every game so there is plenty of replayability here. To help build the card pool, there is a setup app which randomizes things nicely. On a players turn, the will gain dice, spend dice, and (possibly) store dice. Each building has an upgrade side as well which offers a great decision of, "Do I upgrade what I already have? But look at all those cool buildings out there that I don't have yet!" If dice scare you off as being too random, don't worry. There is so much player agency built into this game that you shouldn't have a hard time getting what you want MOST of the time. Obviously it's not so easy you always get everything. For the price, you really can't go wrong for a game with this much meat on it.

Nice dice management game, worth buying!
Lots of gameplay options. Simple game setup and good and easy to learn game mechanics. Good game lasting around 30 minutes per player. Recomended.

Like Dice? Like Dominion? Then you will probably like Colony
It's like Dominion with Dice. We find it very fun. Took a couple of plays to see the combos, but if you like dice and dice manipulation you will probably like this. I think if it had a different theme it would have been more popular--too bad it flies under the radar.

Very fun game! It’s got a lot of ways to play because you can choose from multiple card decks to play each time. This would make a good family game for kids 8+.

While the mechanics of this game are satisfying, and the free app helps simplify setup tremendously, ultimately the theme is just a shoddy skin added to a dice rolling, card collecting game. You could add any other theme and it wouldn't change gameplay at all, and this left me feeling thoroughly unsatisfied.

I love the post-apocalyptic theme
I love the post-apocalyptic theme, settings, and genre. Gamma World is one of my all-time favorite RPGs, I loved The Colony TV series, and just about anything Mad Max-related. Colony really captures the rebuilding process after an apocalyptic event even though you're drafting cards by using dice as currency/worker placement. The best thing is that everyone gets dice on every turn so you're always doing something! The game is played until someone reaches a certain number of points and that goes by pretty quickly overall. A great game for anyone who likes games such as Machi Koro, Roll for It!, or other games along those lines.
