Just OK
I notice that some reviews were 1 star. But for my side, it arrived brand new. Other says that it was used, or glued, for me the semi liquid I notice is a silicone grease, it is applied during production to lubricate between the parts that rubs each other like gears or bushings and shafts, I assume it is food grade, no need to remove except the excess or smear. For the those that says its broken or chipped off like in the picture of the blades for the ice crusher and chopper for the bowl, the depression is designed, I tried to investigate with my old MQ3 series 700w which has a ring shape, and it doesn't fit . I think the purposes of these depressions are to reduce friction by reducing the surface area in contact with the bowl, another is to dislodge the food in those friction prone area and for easier cleaning and insertion. I think this was thoughtfully designed. As for the lock or interlock, yes its annoying but it is 1200W handheld mixer, we have to be mindful that it is a powerful device, anything that might catch such as headphone cord or hair or someone might fall or something might touch causing accidental activation can lead to serious injury, I advice to use both hands when possible, the another warning blades are very sharp too. Moreover, I have a 200W 2-speed braun hand mixer, it does not need this interlock, yes you can operate single handedly and light, which is convenient but under power. Prior to buying this we should have consider our intentions, and the priority is safety first, just my thought. happy shopping.

Useful gadget
My hand held blender broke. I saw this and even went to a well known store to physically check it out.I've had this for a couple of months and I use it lots, for soup, kneading dough, pastry or a biscuit mix I make for my dog. It's easy to clean. I've not put any part in my dishwasher yet, I prefer to hand wash it.Only thing I wish it had was a lock so u don't have to hold the button all the time but that said it really doesn't take long for ingredients to come together.I've not used whisk yet, if I do a pavlova I will try it out.Button is easy to push in, I have arthritis in my left hand and I was worried depressing it would hurt but no, it's great, for me anyway.Lovely little machine. A real time saver. I use the small one for things like bread crumbs and the large for dough and pastry.

Game changer!
Saved 90 quid by ordering here as Curry's wanted €240 for this set. All the blades are super sharp, the blender blade is full width within the head so it makes a creamy smooth consistency of food, it also has a springin the neck so you can press the blade to the bottom of the container to make sure there's no unblended chunks left. The large processor is a whooping 2l tank so no more dividing down portions as it fits all the ingredients in one go. Everything is super easy to clean and store and it compacts several different kitchen appliances into one, saving a ton of space. Worth every penny!!! Can't recommend enough!

Great mixer
This mixer from Bosch is working really great for us and making our life a lot easier. It has a lot of accessories that can be leveraged and feels well built. The parts can be placed in the dishwasher which is a nice feature to have. Indeed the safety lock clicks very easily when the mixer is not in use, however it can be easily unlocked so its not a problem

The blade guard is too large, and the 2L processor is making a funny noise
This blade guard is about 1 mm too large to fit into a standard large glass jam jarThe whole point of these things is to be healthy. Who wants to have to wash up an extra endocrine disruptor filled pointless plastic container? If the blades guard is made the right size, as it usually is, you can just blend in a jam jar, then use that as your drinking vessel, or decant from thereSuch a shame, other than that it is a lovely machine, VERY quiet, no idea if it is as powerful as expected or not as I haven't used itI absolutely love the fact that it has such a large food processor,This is the way of the future, lots of OPTIONAL attachments, one solid motorUnfortunately the attachments are not of the quality that I would expect for this priceI attached it to the amazing looking 2L food processor and it is making a very funny noise intermittently. I don't like the plastic drive transfer. If you wanted to make something that is goign to last, then build the power transfer mechanism out of steelThe hand blender itself is lovely, a little bit fiddly and annoying with the overzealous saftey feature, but you could get used to itLots of pointless attachments and extras:The measuring / blending jug / cup are is pointless, as everyone has large jam jars, jugs and other containers to mix in,The whisk, and the potato masher are also fairly redundant, seems like a great idea, but actually the blades themselves do both of these jobs perfectly adequatelyThe 2 attachments you do ACTUALLY need are a small nut / spice grinder that is powerful enough to make nut butters, and has an ice crushing blade, so thumbs up for thisOtherwise everything flies all over the kitchenAnd a nice sized food processor, such a shame its not so well made as you would expect
