Steel base with a sharp blade. Needed to cut some curtain blinds to size and they did the job just fine. Great for the price and very easy to use.

I purchased this to use when making my wedding invites however the machine is bent and the black bar doesn’t fit flush which means it cuts the paper / card the wrong size. Either I have been sent a faulty one or it’s a really bad design. Will be returning for a refund and buying another one elsewhere.

Easy to use once you’ve worked out the blade has a lock! Strong and stable. Good value.

The straight edge is not straight but I didn't return it as I needed to use it. The box was damaged and the base is dented.

Very happy. Much appreciating the combined paper clamp and finger guard, which comes into play when the chopper blade is lowered but moves out of the way when it’s raised; that component is flexibly attached and can look a bit wonky, but actually it doesn't need to be perfectly aligned, and everything to do with alignment and cutting of the paper seems to be well made.
