I got these so my wife and I can communicate during bike rides. When one person is a head of the other, the only way to talk is to scream back and forth. This does the job just fine at a great price. We now use it almost daily around the house if one person is going to keep an eye on our toddler while the other is doing yard work or something. We were even able to keep contact from about 3 blocks away through houses in the neighborhood! I love the compact form and included belt clips too. The loud verbal alerts and beeps can be annoying but easy to forget when you realize the quality you're getting for the price. If you want features, you'll have to pay for a higher grade walkie, but this does everything we need it to.

The beeps are extremely loud when you turn it on or off, and you have to turn the volume down every time you turn it on.Other than that they work great and the kids love them.

I use these when traveling with other people in different cars they work great as long as I can see the other car im traveling with they can hear me great fast communication no need to get my phone out and wait for them to pick up the best part is they don't require cell coverage the batteries lasted 6 months without being charged.

We use these skiing and it has a wide range and are very durable. Have bought several different colors of the same!

My husband has difficulty getting around (Parkinson's) and he was always yelling at me when he needed something. Now we have these walkie talkies and can communicate from one end of the house to the other. Took it outside to do some gardening while he stayed inside. Communication was great!

These aren’t long range. Tested in the city. Got about .3 miles. If you don’t care about range, these should work fine. If you care about range, spend a little more and get actual long range

I bought these walkie talkies for rock climbing so I could communicate with my partner. They were amazing for the first 45 minutes of our climb (lightweight, good sound, good connection), but then my walkie talkie decided it had seen enough of this world, popped out of its clip case, and plunged 400 feet to meet its maker. I will be buying another pair and epoxying them into the case this time.
