Do not overfill bag before freezing
The packs work well but just a pice of advice. Don’t overfill the pouches. They get too rounded when frozen. You’re better off filling half way.

Pack cooler with frozen meat...flew 12 hours (including trips to and from airports) on plane from east coast to west coast and meat was still frozen solid! Bought another 5 pack!! Excellent.

They stay cold for a long time but don't seem durable
These are more or less what I was trying to find: a flat reusable gel ice pack. They seem ok and definitely keep stuff very cold for a while in my cooler, even when it was in the 90s. However, one already split and leaked after only three uses. It's not like I abuse these either, they basically go from the cooler to the sink to hand wash, then dry flat, then get frozen flat, then go in the cooler. They all show signs of stress in the material so I expect them to all break soon enough. I'm disappointed.
