My wife wrote this review:This is a clarifying shampoo that will, and does, remove buildup from the air and products that you use. It does this very well.Keep in mind, that since this is a clarifying shampoo, it is not meant to be used daily. If you use it too often you will strip your scalp of essential natural oils and could possibly also dry out your hair. One to two times a month is fine. If you use a lot of products then use no more than once a week.The shampoo is loose in consistency. I was curious if I would have a difficult time getting the product out of the container since you can't squeeze it. It poured out easily. I really would kind of love a pump like they have on their Repair Conditioner. But then the other part of me says since I'm only going to use it about once a month, is it really that big of a deal? Probably not. And with the cap and no pump I can easily store in it my cabinet and not worry about it spilling.It did remove the product buildup from my hair. As with most clarifying shampoo, your hair feels a little more dry than using a hydrating shampoo or even just regular shampoo. This is because all of that product and grime buildup is stripped from your hair with this product and a non-clarifying shampoo does not do that. It will go back to feeling normal, trust me.I followed up with the Detox Hydrating Conditioner, which helped restore some moisture to my hair.Just remember. 1-2 times a month is all you need (no more than four times a month IF NEEDED) You're essentially stripping your hair of buildup so you can start fresh.It does exactly what it says and it's a great clarifying shampoo. It will last months and months!

This has a light, clean scent. It clarifies very well. I use a curly hair method and have to clarify regularly. My husband washes his hair once a week or less and uses product in between so he needs a really good clarifying shampoo and we’ve both been able to use this. He finds is drying but he doesn’t use conditioner. I find it a great first wash shampoo when I haven’t washed my hair in a while. I usually clarify with this and then follow with a fortifying shampoo and conditioner. I use a Medicated shampoo and conditioner for postpartum hair loss. This gives me a good, clean base for my scalp to get the most out of the postpartum shampoo. Great for clarifying.I hope this info was useful.

Oof. This was just not the clarifying shampoo for me:* Aluminum bottle is great in theory but not so much in practice. There was no inner seal on my bottle and it leaked in transit.* It's basically impossible to screw the top back on while I have one hand full of shampoo, epecially if the shampoo is really runny, like this is.* Doesn't seem to lather especially well, or cut through *all* product build-up. I have used this product several times and have had to wash my hair twice each time to really feel rid of all the hair products I use.* Really dries out my hair. I've come to expect this from clarifying shampoos in general, so whenever I wash with one such product, I always follow up with a hydrating mask, but that didn't seem to make much difference in this case. My hair was very dry after using this shampoo.I applaud this company for its efforts to create a "cleaner" product with more responsible packaging. I just wish the shampoo itself worked better for me.

I'm a professional hairstylist and I'm here to say this is a GREAT clarifying shampoo. Seriously strips away absolutely all product buildup from the hair, leaving it crisply clean and ready for a new round of products and care. I have been using this about once every 3 weeks or after doing a few rounds of curly girl method in a row, and it works wonderfully for totally removing all the gunk and goo.Yes when you use a good detox shampoo, your hair will feel like straw. You shouldn't be using this as a regular shampoo and you should definitely follow up any detox with a very good hydrating shampoo and conditioner, something that's going to replenish all of the moisture that is lost in the clarifying process.Because this shampoo does use clay, it does feel very harsh and is going to seriously zap your hair's moisture level, so I highly recommend this as your process with it:shampoo 1: paradoxx detox clarifying shampooshampoo 2: paradoxx detox clarifying shampooshampoo 3: hydrating or moisturizing shampooconditioner: protein-rich hydrating conditionermask: dense, thick, heavy, hydrating mask on midlengths to ends onlyleave-in conditioner applied to endsI wouldn't do this frequently or use tons of product on very thin hair, but everyone can benefit from a clarifying and treatment process occasionally - even if, yes, your hair is super greasy. Just like skin care, balancing the health of your scalp (and sebum production) can usually result when proper hair procedures are being followed and detoxing from products is a big part of that. I'm overall super happy with this shampoo and I will absolutely be back to purchase it again.-HOWEVER-This company does need to package this product differently. The bottle I received was dented, with the cap slightly unscrewed, and was leaking into the package. I almost didn't even try it as a result. I never ever try open packages of stuff so I don't know what made me do it - and I'm glad I did - but the packaging is terrible and ripe for problems. It did take this down from 5 stars to 4.

It rinses out as expected and leaves my hair feeling great. I also feel like it gives my hair a bit more volume. There is a light and pleasant scent when using this product but it does not linger.I like the metal bottle also. It is totally different than your basic shampoo bottle.
