Seems decent quality. Really easy to fit if you watch a decent youtube video first only took about 30 mins. There is no screw thread for the retaining bolt which I already knew but I just slowly screwed a bolt into the hole and it managed to cut it's own thread. Hopefully lasts but only time will tell

Don't be put off by the cheap price. Compared to the original part removed, I cannot find a difference in quality (almost identical). There is no thread for the anti-tamper bolt , but there's no need to refit a new bolt on the new barrel. Once fitted and in use, it works absolutely fine. Don't know about longevity of the barrel yet, but cannot see a reason to say it won't last for quite a long time.

Needed to do a bit of filing - but a cheap replacement that works to keep an old van running.

It a way cheaper than a genuine one! Fits perfectly.To change it took me about 15min.The only thing which is annoying is there no thread on security bolt

I was already aware that this comes without the retaining thread to locate it. It relies on tye spring loaded plunger which holds it to steering column but loosely. I simply tapped the thread in the new barrel. M6 plug tap and cut a new bolt to the correct length.Longevity I can't comment but it fits and behaves as new. You simply swap the transponder reader onto your new barrel.
