These were such a last minute, gem of a find! We wanted some sort of decorative lighting element to put on the picnic tables for our church’s Little Town of Bethlehem walkthrough. It wasn’t something we thought of until the very last minute, so finding a cost effective, battery operated lamp was imperative.This lamp came with everything - battery operated lights and batteries, included! While they don’t give off a ton of light, they certainly did the job of looking pretty while lit up on the tables. We bought four for about $65, which isn’t bad at all for these lamps.Definitely saving and using these next year!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my boyfriends mom. We set it up and its just SO beautiful!! It's also has an automatic timer which is really nice. Perfect size, Nice quality, lights are really nice and bright. Great value for the money. I may buy myself one too!!

EDIT: I was wrong. In the light, the glass is reddish. It’s the lights at night that cause the glass to have an amber glow. I find it stunning. Also, happily changed my rating to 5 star!I ordered red for obvious reasons but the color is more amber/orange. The bright side is the lamp is just lovely and whatever color it is, it’s beautiful at night. So instead of a Xmas lantern it will be a year round lantern. This is my 3rd lantern of this type. One was returned as it arrived shattered due to lousy packaging. This is by far the NICEST of the lamps I’ve purchased and the packaging was spot on. But for the color discrepancy, it would have/should have been a five star!

Really cute product. Works great. Not a bright light but I didn’t think it would be, mostly for decorating under my gazebo. Love it

The product was VERY well packaged; completely sandwiched in styrofoam and braced on the inside. I was pleasantly surprised to find the panels really are glass, and not plastic. Batteries (3 AAAs) are included. The metal appears to be sturdy and my assumption is it will hold up well to the outdoors in a semi-protected location; I have it hanging in my gazebo. The amber color matches nicely with the tan canopy of the gazebo. I uncoiled the fairy lights and stuffed them randomly back in to the light.At night this lantern really shines and is very pretty. It doesn't put out a ton of light, but glows nicely. The fairly lights don't produce an even light, but a nice spotted light with an overall warm glow. The opening grilles on the top throw off a really nice pattern that adds to the ambience. I think these would make fantastic centerpieces for a wedding, or hanging multiple lanterns off of corners of a pergola or gazebo for accent lighting.Note: I did receive this product for free from the manufacturer, however there was no expectation or request to write an Amazon review. Door for the battery compartment wouldn't stay closed. We had to tape it closed.

While I do like the looks of the lantern, the lighting that is wired into it uses a lot of battery power. Three AAA batteries only last about one week if you use the 'auto' setting. So I'm not sure if this is a problem with the one I have, or if they are all like this.I have used battery operated candles on the auto setting and batteries last weeks longer.
