The camera works great but I have to say it was rather complicated to run all the wires. I wouldn't have been able to do it but my husband is a mechanic and knows how to easily remove molding, etc. to hide the wires. We are still looking for a dash cam that records behind the vehicle for our pickup truck which has a topper and the rear glass as well as the glass on the topper is tinted. Any suggestions would be welcome!

I bought two Thinkware products and they are the best now I am going to buy U3000 for my new car

As opposed to our older Thinkware dash cams, this model did not include a GPS capability that had to be purchased separately. Configuring for parking mode risked electrical malfunction if done wrong; the solution was to acquire a separate power cable that plugs in under the dashboard. Thus, additional cost was incurred to get this device properly, easily, and safely installed and configured to our needs.

My wife loves them in her car. I have an older version and it seems they worked out the kinks in this one. Easy to install. I picked up a couple fuse adapters at the local car store and found appropriate fuse locations. (One hot all the time, one hot only when the car is on). Makes me feel better about her constant driving.

Was everything I hoped for. Delivery was fast. Installing it requires patience. I wish instructions were more detailed.

This product is still being sold, however Thinkware themselves state that their downloadable computer app is no longer being updated OR supported. With this model the only way to review footage is through their app, and none of my videos show anything even though the audio is recorded. This is a garbage product with a shady company that continues to sell now-defunct products.

although it will work as it comes out of the box, what they don't tell you till you open and read the instructions is you need to purchase the GPS module and radar module separately. some functions do not work till you do.

It worked well for 2 years and now the front dashcam has completely failed. The LCD screen has gone blank and it is not recording. LCD screen is unresponsive to touch. Tried the reset, which didn't fix it.
