Q: Taken filter out of wrapping put in from new just says E1 pressed uv and timer for 5 seconds nothing works is it faulty

According to the instruction manual it is "ultra powerful" and generatesmore than 2 million negative ion outputs"....I don't understand this but hope it helps.I'm still very pleased with the machine.
