Best minimalistic, and sleek remote for Kodi or Libreelec.
I use it with an Intel Nuc running Libreelec with Kodi. I listen to all my music, watch my photos, videos, tv, movies, etc. Just plug the dongle and it works. You don't have to program any button. The buttons that are not on the remote, like Pause, and Fast Forward, etc, after you press the main ''OK'' button, it opens Kodi's display menu. Then, you can press pause, stop, etc.It is not an infrared remote, it is 2.4G RF wireless. So, you don't have to point at the box or tv. The remote still works when I am in another room and/or behind other walls, even outside.Standing 26 feet from the tv, the remote still works (It may works farther than that. That's my room's length). If you need a mouse, with the press of one button, a mouse cursor starts working. Press it again and it goes away.Plugging the dongle on my usb port on my laptop running Linux Mint, I can also control my laptop with the remote with no problem. No extra configuration is needed. What I don't like: During the day, there is no problem. At night, if you don't have enough light, like when you are watching tv or a movie, the buttons are difficult to see. Probably, after some time I will memorize where they are. I would love to have backlight buttons, or glow in the dark buttons or bigger buttons or different sizes buttons, or -if I am gonna dream, :)- all of them.Overall, this is the best remote I found to control Kodi. It is good looking, sleek and modern. I can have 3 or 4 everywhere because they are small and not an eyesore. Very comfortable on your hand. It doesn't have any unnecessary buttons. It works right out of the box, and it doesn't need any programming. It still works from a very far distance, even through the walls. I can also use it with my laptop. The price ($12.96) is a bargain.

Windows 10 + Kodi
I bought this remote to use Kodi on my Windows 10 gaming/home theatre PC.It's been working great. I've had it for 5 months and I've only changed the batteries once (and tbh I think the first batteries sucked) and I use it every day. It's got all the buttons Kodi needs (apart from a keyboard, typing with a dpad for search is pretty tedious, but what do you expect?) and it's so much easier navigating Kodi with the remote than with a mouse and keyboard. My only complaint is that the back and menu buttons are the opposite from my fire stick, but that's not really anyone's fault. Just something to think about if your brain is used to the fire stick.I've also used it in VLC and fullscreen browser YouTube videos and they seem to work fine too.Very happy with my purchase, would buy again for sure.

Works with VLC using AutoHotkey
I wanted a TV remote I could use with VLC. This works perfectly for that. I just installed the free version of AutoHotkey from Github, then used the following script with AutoHotkey. Unfortunately, the Home button on the remote cannot be remapped and always opens a web browser. With this script, the center button works for play/pause in VLC:#IfWinActive ahk_exe vlc.exeEnter::send, {Space} ; Makes the 'Enter' key send a Space key, but only in VLC.SC15D::send, +{;} ; Makes the 'menu' key/button send Shift+; to VLC, to take a screenshot.SC16A::send, {v} ; Makes the 'browser back' key/button send 'v' to VLC to rotate subtitle tracks#IfWinActive

Works Well
I use these to control Windows Media Center PC's IN ADDITION TO a regular Mouse. (Meaning I use both in the same setup). You really can't replace a Mouse with one of these, but if you are Presenting or using it for Movie Viewing, it can be handy. They are super low cost. Batteries last forever and the 2.4G architecture is the ONLY way to go. DO NOT try to use the Bluetooth Controller - they are too fickle.

Did not work
Can’t give a review of functionality as it did not work at all.

Perfect with kodi
I used to have a bluetooth remote with kodi but kodi kept forgetting about it and reconnecting it was a hassle. This thing I just plugged in the USB dongle and it connected automatically, no setup needed whatsoever and it works great!

works out-of-the-box with coreelec, with some minor issues.
works out of the box with coreelec (9.2.7) on an odroid c2. Model that i received said it had gyro mouse controls, but this is not the case - the mouse button toggles the d-pad to control the mouse (tested on the CoreElec device, a chromebook, an android phone, and a rpi running raspbian), there's no gyro functionality whatsoever. Additionally, the mouse button is not exposed to the OS, so it's not possible to remap it to other purposes. The included instruction sheet shows a pairing method, which does not work. This could be problematic with multiple remotes used within range of each other, as they can all control any of the receivers within range. Additionally, there's no LED as mentioned in the instructions.I assume the little hole near the power button may be for a microphone, but i'm unable to get that to work at all. CoreElec has no voice control, and it simply is not recognized as such on my android phone or chromebook. Possibly, the feature was removed, or requires pairing in order to function?Besides that, this works great with CoreElec: all buttons (other than the mouse/cursor) work as intended. The power button shuts off the OS (and can be remapped).
