Easy to open and close.
Bought to replace a quick disconnect that my wife no longer can operate. There was nothing in the product description but I knew I could return it if necessary. It is easy to use. When you push on the release button (which is easy to push), the parts force themselves apart a little making it possible to open with one hand. It’s also pretty easy to push the parts together again (you don’t have to push the button) and they click when the connection is secure.A little bonus is that both pieces have a valve that closes when the parts are separate, so you get no leakage from either disconnected hose. Likewise no contaminants can get in.

Broke immediately. all 3 of them.
Installed piece. Bogged down motor. No acceleration. Disconnected piece and the inside popped out of female portion and o ring broke. Silly me, as i was in a hurry to order this part, i forgot that i had ordered this in october and it failed within 1 mile and it wouldnt flow fuel. this time, got back in the garage and it fell apart as soon as i took it off the bike. i got stranded down the road because of the same issue. no fuel flow. These are garbage and shouldnt even be allowed on amazon. read other reviews....many say the same thing. Exactly the same. im sending these back in pieces and i better get a refund.

Great for CO2 fittings
Wanted quick disconnect fittings for my CO2 regulator (instead of messing with the normal fittings). The regulator has a barb output so that was a real hassle changing hoses for different jobs. With these, I have one permanently attached to the regulator hose and different hoses for different jobs. Works great, no issues with leaks and the positive tactile feedback ensures that they are connected correctly.

waste of time and dangerous!
attached to portable generator and failed after 20 minuets of running. Received a replacement and it too failed. Both items shut off the gas supply after about 15-20 minutes of running and when separated, the spring and internal part shot out and allow gas to free flow out, next to a hot generator engine. This item should not be sold!!!

Work for a while then start leaking
I’ve purchased these several times from different sellers for my glycol chilling (homebrew). They do work up to about 10 connects & disconnects until they start leaking. I suspect quick wear with the o-rings but can’t feel any cracks. All the ones I’ve ordered have only 1 o-ring. I have six glycol lines (3 pair for 3 stainless conicals). For what these cost and the limited amount of use, the value isn’t there for my application. Instead, I’m going to try 3/8’’ NPT Ag Hydraulic Quick Connect Couplers with Stainless Steel 3/8" Hose Barb x 3/8" NPT Male fittings (not my idea, got it from hbt). Now, the hydraulic QC’s are a bit pricier however, I suspect they will holdup a lot longer than these plastic ones. These and the hydraulic QC’s both have shut valves so once disconnected they will not leak. Lastly, to my knowledge there are two different types of hydraulic QC’s – poppet valve style and flat. From my research, the flat are better (lease leakage on the disconnect) but about twice the cost of the poppet style. For now, I can live with the Tbsp or so of leaked glycol so I’m trying the poppet style. For the record, these plastic ones also ‘dribble’ about a Tbsp of glycol on the disconnect and there’s also the concern with the plastic potentially failing when pumping below freezing liquid which isn’t a concern with the metal hydraulic ones (I don't think????).If you’re not disconnecting these often (which kinda defeats the purpose of having them), these may work for your application.
