NiteCore Intellicharger New I4 V2 Universal 4 Channel Li-Ion Ni-Cd Ni-MH Smart Charger, Black

I use this to charge my batteries for my ecig (I kicked the habit, yes!) Love this charger. You can charge 18350s or 18650s in here for your ecigs. I love that each individual slot has its own light, to show you how much each one is charged and how much it needs. Via flashing lights going up, you can see how much each battery is to finishing its charge. Great for when you have multiple batteries with different charges/uses. Very durable material and seems like it will last forever.I ended up buying two of them, one for the office and one for home. As a previous smoker breaking the habit, you never want to run out of battery power for your ecig. I haven't yet, but I hear it's easy to go back on the habit if you run out of power for your ecig device.Great too because it is a Smart Charger. As the charge is complete (lights remain full) it stops charging. It's good to remove the batteries from the charger once this is complete and not leave them in the charger (researched this via the net).(UPDATE)I came back after my JETBeam IntelliCharger i4 PRO Charger V3 broke. When I first purchased this charger, I also purchased the JETBeam as well. Looks pretty much identical. I wanted to keep one charger at home and one at work. Anyway, the JETBeam burn out (or something, it smelt burnt) within the first few weeks of owning it. This one, still kicking hard. So I came back and purchased a second one to replace the JETBeam. Both working strong and continuing to charge. I charge batteries on a daily basis because of the ecig thing.Just some notes for users out there. I did a bit of research on charging batteries, smart chargers, and what not...1. Once your batteries are charged, remove them from the charger and power the charger down. Don't leave your batteries in the charger over a long period of time when they are already fully charged.2. Don't leave the charger plugged into the wall if nothing is in it.3. Don't leave your batteries in the charger when they are fully charged and the charger is unplugged. It will drain your batteries.Hopefully these little tips will extend the life of your batteries and the life of your chargers.

Charges fast and consistently as to be expected.the plastic is dense and high quality, and the wall plug is removable in case you ever need to change it.the battery meters on the top of each channel is one of this products best feature as well. it allows you to charge batteries and see how far from charged they are, and also lets you see which ones are nearly full with a 3 stage battery indicator.the spring loaded negative posts also make sure any battery fits well and secure. it takes a little use to make the springs less stiff, but that is a minor issue that is quickly solved by using the product.Great product, would buy again and recommend to friends

PRO's:1. Four(4) independent charging channels - can charge 1, 2, 3, or 4 batteries at same time;2. One For Most - can mix and charge different chemistry of batteries at same time including Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, and Li-ion;3. Versatile Input Power - AC or 12vDC, works well for my application, I use car and solar power to charge the batteries.CON's:1. The spring loaded latch is flimsy and doesn't work too well. The latches are made out of thin metal and feels like it's going to bend if I am to push it open using the 18650 battery. I have to push the latch open with one hand and insert the 18650 with another hand. Even with 2 hands, it still doesn't feel smooth when pushing the latch.2. The blue power indicator stays on even when there's no battery in the charger. Not eco friendly design.3. The charging indicator stays on even when the battery is fully charged. Another not so eco conscious design. Both the Power indicator and the charging indicators matters because they drain my 12v marine battery. When you have 4 batteries in the charger, total number of LED lights including the Power indicator is 13. They will stay on after charged and until you unplug the power or take out all the batteries but the power indicator will still stay on.4. The 12vdc input adaptor look and feel very cheap. The wire connect to the cigarette lighter plug fell apart and exposed both + and - wire even though it was brand new. I used liquid tape to isolate/insulate them to avoid hazard.5. It takes a bit too long to charge four(4) 18650 at the same time. From what I know, it's safe to charge Li-ion batteries with 1/2 of it's capacity.The charger works as advertised but I gave it 4 stars because of the low price which make it a good value. Otherwise, I would only gave it 3 (and 1/2, if I can) stars.I have a friend in the power supply and charger design and manufacturing business. I wish he can make one similar to this but without all of the CONS. May be I'll try to talk him into making one and sell it? LOL

This charger is perfect for our needs. Our first one died after several years of use. Great purchase.

Bought this because I'd had a Nitecore 2-cell charger that lasted me many tears until it finally broke. First one failed in a few days; sent it back for an exchange. Second one lasted a whole 2 weeks before failing completely. Failure mode: completely dead. No lights, no charge. Not happy with Nitecore anymore.

Works great and charges batteries full. My device I use the batteries for wouldn't allow me to re-charge the batteries from the device anymore, so this is the only way to charge my device. I'm very happy with my purchase. Thank you
