Sturdy and appealing puzzle set to suit growing ability levels
As stated on the box, this is the perfect introduction to puzzles for small children who are starting to develop the fine motor skills needed to fit the pieces together. There are 4 little puzzles, each increasingly more difficult, starting with 2 pieces, then 3, 4 and finally 5. The pictures are nice and colourful and each vehicle easily identifiable. The board used is nice and thick, and the pieces are a good size for small hands. In the beginning, I separated the pieces and gave my grandson one puzzle at a time, otherwise he’d be faced with 14 random pieces and the challenge of figuring out how to make 4 pictures out of them. He’s a smart kid, but that was just a step too far for a 2 year-old! We’ve got extra mileage out of the pack by numbering the reverse of each puzzle (see picture) so that now, at the age of 3, he can sort out the pieces on his own. This is an extra challenge that he loves, and he rightly demands a round of applause every time he successfully completes all 4 puzzles! Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful. A perfectly pitched challenge for little hands and minds
As it says on the box, this pack is a nice introduction to puzzles for children of 18+ months, who are developing the fine motor skills needed to put the pieces together. There are 4 small puzzles, increasing in difficulty from 2 pieces, to 3, then 4 and finally 5. The board used is good and thick and the pieces a nice size for small hands to manipulate. The pictures are colourful and attractive and each animal is easily identifiable.I started off separating each puzzle and giving my grandson one at a time, otherwise he’d be faced with 14 random pieces and the challenge of making 4 animals out of them. He’s a smart kid, but we found that a step too far for a barely-2 year-old! We got extra mileage out of it by numbering the reverse of each puzzle (see photo) so that he could eventually sort the pieces himself, which turned into part of the game. He’s now almost 3 and has mastered all four puzzles without needing to look on the back, so we’ve had a good 12 months fun for a very reasonable price. There are several sets in this series, and we ended up buying them all. Highly recommend. Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful. Check out my Amazon profile page for more reviews of toddlers’ books, puzzles and educational toys and games.

Good for toddlers
Bought for my 2 year oldDoes them with ease and likes that she can do them so quicklyShe brings them out to do probably once a day so they have not faired so well and there is some peeling and damage but I don't really mind its just cheap cardboardI'll buy the next stage up now see how she gets on with something a little more difficultGives your little one a sense of achievement and pride when they complete by themselvesWould recommend trying one

Great fun for dinosaur-crazy kids
As it says on the box, this pack is a nice introduction to puzzles for children of 18 months +, who are developing the fine motor skills needed to fit the pieces together. There are 4 small puzzles, each one increasingly more difficult, moving from 2 pieces, to 3, then 4 and finally 5. The board used is good and thick and the pieces a nice size for small hands to manipulate. The pictures are colourful and attractive and each dinosaur easily identifiable. In the beginning, though, I found it best to separate each little puzzle and give my grandson just one at a time, otherwise he’d be faced with 14 random pieces and the challenge of making 4 dinosaurs out of them. He’s a smart kid, but we found that just a step too far for a barely 2 year-old! He’s now almost 3 and dinosaur crazy, so this has turned into one of his favourite toys. We’ve got extra mileage out of it by numbering the reverse of each puzzle (see photo) so that he can sort the pieces himself, which has turned into part of the game. Great fun for him to do and us to watch and applaud! Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful. Returned for refund
The puzzles are all cut vertically depending on the number of pieces in the puzzle. The pictures aren’t different enough to make them obvious for a young child which puzzle is which. These were bought as a first puzzle for an 18m old. I have returned for a refund as they don’t suit my needs. I’m going to get the Peppa Pig ones from Argos instead. The puzzles are all the same pattern on the reverse so also doesn’t aid knowing which is which.
