Heavy, rugged, durable.
The product is exactly as I expected and hoped for. It’s made of very durable, thick rubber and will undoubtedly last many, many years of abuse. Be warned that it is quite heavy, and if you plan on using it as an exercise mat that you move around frequently, then picking it up will be a workout in and of itself.

Survives harsh UV
It has served us well as a jump rope mat on the back deck in Albuquerque NM.High dessert, high UV, it destroys most anything left outside. The mat has survived for several years and we're very happy.

Mats
This item is called an exercise mat, but I bought a couple of them to use as covers for a two of my workbenches. These work well for saving my wood topped benches and things don't slide around on the mats. They are nice and thick, but not so thing as to be unwieldy. They may be for exercise, but they're great on workshop tables.

This stuff is tough.
I'm using it as a dart catcher for bounce-outs from my dart board. I bought the 7mm thinking the 3mm would be too thin. Well, I could have gotten away with the thinner one. When darts drop out of the board or bounce off, they barely stick in this stuff. Awesome. I can literally drop a sharp dart from six feet and it will barely stick in it. This serves its purpose in that it will protect my hardwood floor. However, it is NOT easy to clean.Dude. All the dust that accumulates from a hardwood floor and sticks to your shoes shows up on this thing. I guess a damp cloth could be used to wipe it away, but it's going to be a pain to do that every time it gets footprints on it. And they stand out like a dead kitten in a horse trough. For now, I just laid it down a couple of hours ago and the curl of it still hasn't settled. They ship it rolled up, so it might need to be rolled the opposite direction to undo the curl. I read one review that said it has no memory. Well, for now that has not proved out. I'm hoping this resolves soon. The smell is noticeable, but not terrible. I'm sure it will dissipate, but it doesn't bother me. It's not like bringing a box of horse manure in and letting it sit there or anything. Not a big deal.Overall, I am very happy with the way this thing performs. It does what I bought it for, it has a neat little squeak to it when I walk across it to get my darts, and it looks pretty good against the hardwood floor. Thumbs up!EDIT FROM THE FEWCHA...So I've had it for, what, most of a year now? Too lazy to hit back and look at my purchase date. I'm not changing the star rating. 4 stars is good. If it were easier to sweep and clean, it would get 5. You have to sweep it repeatedly over and over, repeatedly, over and over, until you finally get the debris off of it. Other than that, it's almost a perfect mat.The curl did settle out of it. I can't remember how long it took, but I think it was less than a week. Surely less than two. So I'd call that a non-issue. The smell went away really quick as well. Like in maybe a few days. And it never made the room smell. When you move this thing out of the way because you're not throwing darts in the room on a particular night, you will notice the hardwood floor beneath where it lies has taken on a new quality of slick. Seriously. My hardwood is slippery underneath where this lies. And it squeaks under my tennis shoes. I'm guessing the rubber mat has acted like emory cloth against the floor, smoothing it out like glass. This isn't a big deal for me, but you might want to know about it. Especially if you like to sail kittens across it, bumping them into the wall. You know. Things like that. Hey, no judgment from me!

Strong quality rubber.
3' X 6' X 5mm Rubber mat. Made from recycled tires so it's nice and firm. I cut out 12" X 12" pieces to place under a 4 post car lift posts and they were a game changer. They didn't squish down and they remained in place by using rubber cement between the post and the rubber. 5mm was the perfect thickness for my 90,000lb lift. It made the lift a lot sturdier and it doesn't walk at all now. I used the remainder of the roll for the tops of my work benches where I needed a simi soft surface to work on various things. Great quality rubber and if I ever need more, I'll be back.

Tough mat perfect for fitness
Regarding the 4x6 mat, I am very impressed with this. I considered a couple other similar exercise mats on Amazon and went with this one. Here are some points I want to make about it:1. It is sized exactly as advertised: 4ft x 6 ft. I also verified with a digital caliper that the mat is exactly 7mm thick. For reference, 7mm is a tad over a quarter of an inch and is exactly as thick as a stack of four quarters. Regarding any reviews that say the mat is a different size, I am sure it was just a mix up.2. It is made of little bits of rubber that have been compressed flat. Going off of some answers to questions posted by other customers, the mat is made by cutting slices off a bigger chunk of rubber. Though I myself can't confirm this is how they are made, the surface is very smooth on both sides as if they had been sliced with a very sharp blade. There are small pits in the surface due to the spacing of the small bits of rubber but the surface is not bumpy. You can hold poses on your elbows or knees and the mat won't leave indentations in your skin.3. The mat does not shift around while using it on carpet. I previously used foam interlocking squares that shifted about while exercising but this mat stays put, which I am happy about. I also noticed that this does not leave marks on my carpet, which is also good.4. It isn't that spongy but it does give a little bit. Trying to think of a good comparison to describe how squishy it is. It's about as firm as the rubber sole of an athletic shoe, maybe a tad firmer depending on the shoe. Definitely more firm than a regular foam yoga mat. You can probably drop weights on this no problem but I haven't done this. It is pretty firm so that it doesn't wrinkle but it does flex too. I use it on my carpet and can feel the padding underneath, which makes it more comfortable to lie down on than if it were on a rigid floor.5. I use this upstairs. It doesn't completely absorb the sound, so if you live above someone in an apartment and are jumping around on this mat your neighbors will probably still hear you. Realistically though, you would probably need several layers of rubber and foam to be completely silent.6. The rubber is very tough. I exercise on this mat with my shoes on without any issue. It's not slippery nor is it sticky.7. It has small pits from the spacing between the bits of compressed rubber as mentioned above. I imagine this might hold moisture. I haven't had this mat long enough to experience any issue with this though. I imagine using an all purpose cleaner regularly would keep it clean.8. Has a slight rubbery smell that is somewhat noticeable after unpacking. On the second or third day, the smell went away.9. Top and bottom surface are the same. One side has a sticker indicating it is the bottom. An answer to a question in the questions section mention the mats are sliced off a bigger piece of rubber and the "bottom" might have a different sheen than the "top". For all intents and purposes though, they are the same surface.10. Unrolls and lies flat. Doesn't have any memory that causes it to curl up.11. Only comes with the mat. No carry bag or velcro straps. That's ok for me though. Thought I'd mention that if was super important to someone.12. Weighs maybe 25 lbs, so it isn't super light but it isn't exactly heavy either.
