Firm, flat, don't feel the seams at all. Unless you're well past 200 lbs. you're not going to feel the floor when lying in any position on it. Probably not a great choice for an every night bed, but for a guest bed you can pull out and unfold, it can't be beat. It only weighs 15 lbs and has carrying handles. Far superior to an air mattress, and far easier to store (and much cheaper to buy) than even a discount regular mattress. We have several of them for overnight guests, when needed.

Used in the RV on the U-shaped Dinette to add cushion for sleeping. This was the perfect addition for comfort on top of the current cushions. Easy setup and great for sleeping.

It is best to open the futon 48 hours in advance. The directions suggesting this are inside the very tightly boxed package. It does not seem like it would be so hard to unfold a futon that one would need directions, so I didn't read them! It is not that there was off gassing time needed, but puff up time would be useful! I got a single bed size futon and put it on a metal bed frame; it was fine 8 hours after unpacking, but got better with more time. I am not an easy sleeper so this is saying a lot. I was surprised how comfortable it was and will continue to use it.

Great for camping! We replaced our air mattress for those and it was a success! It kept us warm in 40 degree nights and was comfortable. Highly recommend. It takes up a lot of space, but worth it

Super comfy, exactly what I needed, my puppy had a surgery so I was looking for a mattress comfy enough for my puppy and me to rest and take care of her during the night and it worked perfectly.
