This heat shrink tubing has become a staple in our household. Originally bought for my husband’s electrical work, it’s now found a place in my craft projects too. used this heat shrink tubing on old cloth covered wire and it work. the old cloth covered wire was failing at the point of connection.

I use shrink tubing for many repairs, not all of them electrical. But for outside electrical repairs, I always use shrink. Just a given.

I used these as a cable sheath, for a pair of 22 AWG wires, going to each motor on my ROV project. I did have to use dish soap to get them through, but once on, I just hit the length of the tubing with my cordless heat gun and it was on there real good.When I had to replace a motor, it was really hard to get a purchase with my X-acto knife, to trim away the tubing, to get to some fresh wire, to solder back to the new motor. With that, I can tell you, it took a lot of effort to remove the tubing because that adhesive is really strong.I added a photo, to show what I meant earlier. You'll notice that right at the neck of the harness, I used a larger shrink tube, to tie everything together. That tube was also made by Wirefy as well. This really cleaned up the look of my ROV.I will be buying more from Wirefy, when I need any other sizes of tubing, because this stuff has worked better than the last 2 brands I tried in the past.
