Radio came with all that it showed. For the price with all the accesories and the radio, you can't beat the deal. The only gripe is loading the software for remote programming with the cable. After the download there were pops up for the software that I couldn't close. I ended up uninstalling and was able to use an older version of Chirp.

I’m absolutely astounded with the clear quality that this thing has right out of the box, it has a huge variety of features, I would recommend watching a couple YouTube tutorials on it just to dip your toes in the water a little better, but after that you can tune into many local stations, and stations across the country with little to almost no static noise, I love the small case design, it fits extremely well on my plate carrier in the designed pouch I got for it or just clipped onto the mollie webbing, I’d buy another 3 of these things just so that I can have a good time with my friends and teach them the good things about a ham radio

Being a ham since 1994, i have had several radios in my shack. But life and work necessitated a pull back the last 10 years while pursuing my career. Well now I am retired and living the post plandemic dream. All my old Icom and Yaesu HT batteries were shot along with one speaker, and I had been hearing about these Baofeng HT’s for years, so I decided to get a pair. My wife is a ham too, lucky me. Well this radio has been a blast to use and program. Audio quality is good, and battery life is amazing. I can operate all day on one battery, mostly listening and working in my shack. I love the FM radio feature and the watch feature too. From a guy who used to pay 50+ real bucks for a battery, I couldn’t believe the value of these radios.Well if you made it this far, i commend you. Here are some operating tips.Press and hold the 0 button for battery voltage.Set VOX to 1 for the greatest sensitivity.Get CHIRP and make edits and setup a breeze.Mine came with a programming cable .The connector for the speaker mic needs some trimming on it’s connection to fully seat on the radio. Audio quality is only soso.73 for now

Another Rail Fan here. Charged it up, downloaded the app and was tracking local trains right out of the box.

This is one of the standards for many search and rescue volunteers due to its affordability versus Kenwood and others. I don't use most of the accessories. It picks up channels in the city well, but in the backcountry it struggled to pick up chatter even with an established relay. Others with similar Baofengs had some success, but it's inconsistent.
