Excellent lock
This product is very durable and high quality, and I recommend it for purchase, but it would be much safer if they included a small iron box for the seam where the lock tab is placed so that the cabinet wood pull is not the only tab holder.

Works perfect
Got this to replace the unlockable knob on my truck bed's storage bin (2021 Ford Maverick). Took a little shaving down of the truck box, but this went in perfect and I can now lock that box with a code. Great extra parts that come with it made it easy to install.

What a great idea.
I had no clue this even existed until I saw it on Amazon. It’s a perfect fit. Works well and I never have to fumble for keys anymore when trying to open the tv basement.

I purchased these to replace the ubiquitous CH-751 locks that most RV's have on their compartment doors. My main problems with these locks are that 1) they take on dirt very easily and (2) that you can't "close" the latch unless you lock the compartment. These Combination locks are a very nice replacement for this purpose. They are very well made, solid, and appear to be well made. Their construction prevents the intrusion of dirt, though I may add the "covers" later, just to be extra safe. Even though the combination is only 3 digits, I don't think that anyone would have the time to all try 999 combinations in a campground without attracting some attention! The locks are also very flexible in how they are installed. Because you can define your own combination, it's easy to make the locks consistent for all compartments. They also have a plate with "teeth" on the inside, which "bite" into the door and give extra protection against "forcing" the lock. And, most important for me, you can turn the latch to be open or closed without having to "lock" the knob. I've subtracted 1 star because the shaft that drives the locking latch is just a little smaller than the "standard" of the cam locks that are on the RV (which I thought were an industry standard). This means that if you need to use a latch from an existing lock (as I did), rather than one supplied with this lock, it won't fit snugly and leaves the latch moving more than it should. This could lead to the latch not catching and locking properly. I solved this problem with a paper clip (yes, really!), which I cut to length and formed into an "L" shape to fill the gap. It was a bit fidgety to install, but I am very happy with the result.

Excellent solution to replace standard key core.
As an educational technology administrator, I prefer to give my staff combinations instead of keys; it's just easier to manage. I had a first generation Earthwalk cart I refurbished recently and wanted to replace the keyed lock with this combi-cam. It worked nearly perfectly. It's a little tricky to get everything just right on carts like this, but just a little metal bending on the arm - and it came with several that were of different configurations, which is great - got me where I needed to be. It's substantive and solid, so I'm a big fan. I think on metal applications like mine, significant torque could probably wrench the thing out of place, so use significant pressure to install the back nut. The included wood-mount clawgrip might even be helpful, but I went without. I think it's a great little unit and I'm really happy with the installation!

Broke while setting the code
I really wanted this to work so I wouldn't have to worry about forgetting my tool box key at work, but as I was setting the code (holding the bottom button and setting my desired numbers) the lock made a small pop and none of the number dials work anymore.

Prefect replacement for keyed battery box on our Airstream
Hated to have to use the key in the tight parameters of our 27' Flying Cloud FBT. The battery box is nestled smack in between the front of the rig and propane cover and the battery box lock is very close the front of the rig. This made it difficult fumbling with a key on a whole ring of keys and trying to turn with worry of scratching the aluminum exterior of our new rig. This swift device took care of that. No more key and quite quick and simple to use plus peace of security.

Lock arrived as ordered today. I had it installed in my desk drawer within 20 minutes. Insta-safe! Alright, not a safe but far more secure than it was when i bought it second-hand a few months ago. Key? What key? There was a lock but no key, like so many of life's questions and most of Tswift's lyrics. Should you buy this lock? Yes, if you need to replace a lock missing it's key or simply hate the idea of your keyring growing any heavier, one step closer to Doyle, the custodian who haunted your elementary years, always detectable by the jingle-jangle of a thousand-keyed ring and the overpowering odor of sweat, sawdust and Diet Pepsi. Don't be like Doyle. But this lock and three-digit combo your life some sweet, sweet simplicty.
