Gila Heat Shield Plus 5% VLT Automotive Window Tint

I started by giving 3 stars, but had to change it to 5 stars to be fair. The fault wasn't in the product. but in my application. I bought all the ancilliary products, spray bottle etc. but totally underestimated the difficulty involved in applying the product to the windows. I am logical and mechanically inclined but I couldn't make it work - within seconds I knew I wasn't going to make it work. If you think you're better than me - give it a shot! If it works, you've saved money - if it doesn't work, don't blame the product!

I went with the 35% as I didn't want dark limo tint. Just a bit of privacy and keep the sun out. Do not trust the photo in this item. It is not the black tint like it pictures. It is the grey colour that barely darkens anything at all. Yes it's only 35% and no i didn't expect it to be blackout... but honestly when i held the sheet up to the window half on-half off it looked like there was no tint at all. only a slight grey tint. Save your cash and buy actual black tint and not the grey that this item is.I can't speak to the quality of the tint as I didn't even bother applying it. After just holding it on there I knew I wasn't going to be happy with it and I returned it the next day. Hope this review helps someone not waste time.

Here you can see a photo of how it looks from inside, so this will fit ONLY 1 windowEven tho i cut it at the exact size, but still wasn’t enough for the other window, i think its good quality, its not dark, its not gonna darken your window from the outside,

Always had sun glaring through the middle and into my eyes. Watched a YouTube video on applying a tint strip to the windshield and decided to try it myself.It's a bit tedious and you have to be careful when cutting, I did mess up on the first one but luckily my car is small and so I had a lot of extra film to try again. Second time is the finished product in the picture. I just wanted a strip on the top of the windshield as it's illegal to tint your entire windshield here. And I still have some more left over if I ever need to replace the windshield. So for my money, it was worth it.

First you will loose 5" x 24" on it because of the tape they put to keep it roll way to sticky.Next extremelly difficult to separate it and also to cut it And I purchase a install kit.Finally got close enough to get one window done whit two boxes to realize that its almost a blueish color and I putchase 5% tint.Thanks to a Wonderful service by amazon they took really good care of me.
