Wonderful for BP
We needed a 31" heavy-ish wood bat, drop -2 or -3, for 13U BP reps for a certain hitting program where we alternate heavy-normal-light batting weight in 2:1 ratio. Our previous wood bat broke and we went shopping for a replacement at our local Dicks Sporting Goods. The shopping experience was a huge disappointment, because they mostly stock Marucci models most of which do not indicate the bat weight and on further research a lot of these turn out to be -5 or -6. Or if we would find a proper size/weight bat, it would be a $190 Victus model, or we would find size but not weight. It was a bad experience, and most of the branded bats at the store cost upward of $110 plus tax. A lot of the models have these slender thin handles which will shatter in less than 500 hitting reps. So long story short, this model Rawlings is perfect for our purpose, because:1. The shape of the handle - it tapers gradually and is not too thin coming from the barrel to the knob.2. It is cheap and we can put a lot of hitting into it without worrying about breaking a 200 dollar item.3. It is properly sized and weighted at -3 unlike most Marucci wood models where the weight varies by -1 or more.4. It seems well made with ample coating on top of the wood and the wood seems to be at pro-level quality based on my visual inspection.Very happy with this purchase. We will put at least 2000 reps through this thing before it shatters.

Worth every cent
The media could not be loaded. My son needed a wood bat for summer ball, but he is a contact hitter. Finding a balanced wood bat is an issue. He has tried several maple bats and hates the end load. I decided to try ash, just to see if it made a difference. I wasn't going to drop $200 to find out so spending $40 on this Adirondack was just what I wanted. It arrived a day early just before his first game. I put the grip tape on in the parking lot while he warmed up. The attached video was his first at-bat using the ash.He loves the lighter feeling swing weight. He has more barrel control and can move his hands faster. I know that wood bats will break, and ash especially, but if it shatters tomorrow, he already has 2 base hits, 4 RBI and a sac bunt with it. 3 games in, it's already worth the $40 I paid. Everything else from now on is gravy!Update: 3 tournaments in, batting .333 with 10 RBI. Last pitcher he faced was throwing 90 and he turned on an inside fastball. Not even a chip on the Adirondack.

Umm…Yeah
Got the bat overnight on Friday, first pitch on Saturday for my son at his club team’s cage session and the bat cracked in half with a cage ball… He’s 14-year-old, 120 pounds… Bat should not be cracking in half with that size kid, not off one pitch. We picked this up as a replacement for his Louisville slugger that had had literally been hit hundreds of times, to include by me his 200lb 6’2” dad, but it was starting to show some cracks. The one ball was hit off the silver band, so barely off the barrel.
